Well if he allowed you into the family fold he deserves it
He had the option whether to join it was not compulsary and not buying a shirt or going to the KC comes down to personal choice.
By the way ive just purchased through the scheme using my Credit Card and my sons Team Card so i guess you got that one wrong as well.

Having the option and saying he will get a benefit are 2 different things - the point being that further cash to Rovers is required to get the "savings".
Didn't realise you could use a free child's card to get the points, sorry. Since I spend about £200 annually at Next online, I might register one of my kids to get £1 back.
Does anyone know how much Bradford Bulls charge for their Club Rovers equivalent, only it looks from this like it's nothing. That can't be right, surely? £160 for a standing season pass, £5 off shirts, Teamcard etc

| I guess it all boils down to one simple reassurance, Club Rovers members:
"The more you spend, the more you save."
Don't forget the mantra! (I may sell it to Rovers for their next year's marketing strategy. . )

| It appears some Rovers fans already have hundreds of points in the bag, must mean they have spent millions of pounds if one of our resident trolls is correct.

| I've done most of my Christmas shopping online & managed to bag a few points at the same time. I dont see what the big fuss is about? I've not bought anything I would'nt have anyway in order to re-coup my initial outlay. As a supporter of the club I don't think its that big a deal to pay £60 to help them out.
Im also a OneUnited member which cost £25 for the year & basically all I get for that is a chance to go into the ballot to be able to buy match tickets for Man Utd.

| Quote ="Mrs Barista"Indeed they are.
For someone in the West Stand in 2009, they paid out £210 for a pass.
For someone in the West Stand in 2010 they pay either £260 or £270 (£210 + £60). To "recoup" this money involves them giving Rovers another £45 for a shirt, spending hundreds on a laptop or spending £12,000 online with Next.

| The Roving membership was always going to be good value, but I'm also moderately impressed by the Teamcard side of things - pretty much universal coverage.

| Genuine question.
How much are the points worth on redemption? For example, if you had 500 Teamcard points, how much is that worth in discount in the Club shop?

| 1000 team card points gives £10 off club shop prices.
Depending on the store you are buying from the points per £ differs. At Play.com you only get 1pt for £2 spent, at other stores you can get somewhere in the region of 3pts per £1 spent.
By just joining Gala bingo you get 500 points. I wouldn't personally sign up to this but if you were into your bingo and were planning on doing so anyway its a good way to earn savings if you buy club merchandise.
I have just been buying dvd's at Play.com due to them being very nicely priced then remembered I am part of club Rovers so registered my card and boom a few points in the bank, not many but every little helps, this time next year I can go buy my mum a nice Christmas present!!!

A point is a penny (500 = £5). You mostly get 1 or 2 points per pound spent. It doesn't sound like a lot, but when you think about the increasing number of online purchases being made, it can add up. A couple of nights away in a hotel might be a couple of quid off your shirt, ebay purchases count and so on. It is pretty much a universal online reward card - although of course it only works if you are happy redeeming it against Rovers merchandise. It'll be interesting to see what the 'token' renewal fee is, but if it continues to offer a decent discount on a season ticket, the teamcard stuff is a decent additional incentive.

| It does seem quite strange that Bradford can offer this service for free yet we charge £60. I like the service I like the idea and over the years we may see a nice profit however the Bradford fans will see a profit from the day they buy their season pass.
Still all money that goes to Rovers is good money spent in my books.

Genuine question of my own, is the Bradford scheme equivalent to the Rovers one in the strictest sense of the word? I don't recall the Bulls badge amongst those on the teamcard page (Swinton was the only other RL club iirc). Does their loyalty card have a similar 'reach'? I'm not doing it down, as it is free, I'm just not sure Mrs B is being as fastidious with the facts as she might be.

Which bit is a lie?
That you have to spend more money to get a benefit?
That you can just use a free child's Teamcard to get the points (according to your moderator), and that £200 spent online with Next and yields £1 to redeem?
That Bradford's website looks as if you get Teamcard included in a £160 adult standing season ticket (plus the usual £5 off a shirt etc) with no membership fee?

The bradford one is very very similar to rovers:
Teamcard points
money off shirts
discount merchandise
There seems to be only one major difference

| After reading the Bradford website it does look pretty much identical. What it doesn't state on there though is that their season passes are being kept at the same price and going by the signings they are making it may be that they will be increased by quite an amount next year at Bradford. We will see in time but as said if my money is going a long way to the success of the club in the long run then I for one am more than happy to pay an extra £60.
