So what your saying is that all young english talent at clubs like ours or wakey cas quins ect will not have a cat in hells chance of international caps unless they sign for leeds wigan or saints

And I hope he is along with Raynor, they are the two best english wingers in the league. He has got a great future ahead of him. But what I'm getting at is look at how Gardner gets called up all the time just for playing for saints. He scores so many because he plays outside world class centres Lyon and then Gidley. I very much doubt Ade score more than 4 tries a season which are down to his own doing and are further than 15metres out a season.

Fair enough like you state he's had two world class centres but i think he got picked because at the time he was the stand out winger. Over the last couple of seasons our wingers have been poor look at what we picked from Calderwood Hodgson ect but now ther is more young wingers coming through.I'de even pick Melling from quins as a winger

Its a fair point, but hopefully thats not how the national side will be selected anymore. I would expect both hull and rovers players to feature if both sides keep up their excellent starts, as players should be selected on form rather than reputation.

Tony Smith has said in an ideal world he would like to have at least one player from each SL club in the england squad which suggests he'll give players a go on form rather than what club they're at.

With a second England team going to be chosen, I hope it will be full of youngsters ie Briscoe, Hall, Houghton, Welham and even Wheeldon perhaps. Then I would like to see these play games say against Fiji, Tonga etc and if players perform then they should be selected for the main squad. But thats not to say youngsters who are playing really well, can't be selected for the main team in the first place.

the point is he is probably the best in england, but while he is at hkr and gardner at saints, made to look great by gidley and next year lyon, gardner will get picked ahead of him. If he was at saints he would be first choice england winger everytime

Explain. Who's to say Rovers are not a top 4 side from now in. Saints are ageing, they could end up below Rovers in future. If he's a wanted man now how is moving to Saints going to make him a better player?

There are the rugby considerations yes.
Then also people forgot he would have to up and move to the other side of the country.
He will be picked for England regardless so he doesnt need to move to Saints for that.

1) He's got a mortgage on a house in York which would be difficult to sell or rent in the current economic climate.

2) He's got 6 points on his driving licence and wouldn't want a speeding fine driving up and down the M62 everyday.

3) He'll play for England regardless of who he plays for.

4) Rovers are the most progressive club in Super League.

5) Saints will hit the wall when the likes of Gidly, Cunningham, Long and the like retire.

Do you listen at all? I said that by the looks of it they goto wigan, leeds and saints first. Then look at other clubs just to make the numbers up.

It's been well documented about the severity of Saints finances and the fact it has impacted on your playing budget so you ain't gonna shell out 100k+ of your salary cap money (as all gifts for players etc. are counted against the salary cap).

Fair point about Martin & Joynt but Gidley & Cunningham genuine world class players and can't be replaced (even Lyon is not as destructive as Gidley IMO).

You may be playing well yes but you aren't top 4 material yet.
Saints may be ageing, but they have a good youth set up with quite a few coming threw. They will also attract top players also.
Leeds are just Leeds.
Wigan, like saints will always bring through the youth and attract big players.
Warrington have the players but cannot perform at the minute and the backers off the field.
Hull are still a bigger club than you. We have arguably the best youth set up in the country along with Leeds and manage to bring players like Berro, Crocker etc in*.

*Because I put the last bit, lets not change this into a Hull vs KR rant!
