| I was a work last night and went on humbersides listen again feature to listen to the hull city fans forum for myself, unfortunately the works computer wouldn't play it.I did notice that the sport talk feature was 180 mins long, i got home this morning and tried again but it is only 90 mins long now, the city forum part of talk sport has been cut off...are we now going to get an edited version with a small part erased?

| Quote ="Mrs Barista"Duffen's just being lazy because it's a bit complicated to arrange and is not his priority. He's now compounded this by being abusive to the rugby league community in the city. If he's accountable to the council on the basis of effectively being caretaker of their asset maybe we should all write eloquent letters to the council chairman. I and I suspect many others do feel insulted by Duffen's sweeping generalisation. I feel that some compensation may be in order. Does anyone know a personal injury lawyer?

| I think it's interesting that none of the Hull SL fans have made a comment on the fact that had Kath and Richo not been so keen to get their noses out of the trough they would have had as much say as Duffen. Mind you.I would imagine if they had have been he would not have taken City over as the long time plan is to buy the stadium and the land around it.

| Its a disgrace on anumber of levels:
1. It denies Hull the prestige of hosting an Int fixture
2. It denise RL fans in teh city the opportunity to see a "home" International
3. It reduces the cash teh stadium is generating for the council and by default the people of the city.
There is no reason at all for this to have happened other than poor management. You should all be complaining to teh council as the owners and elected reps of the people!!

Because I'm guessing that Wigan don't have a fair to compete with within the same month.
Same goes for Doncaster or Huddersfield. And I appreciate that the KC has held similar events around those dates in the past but maybe the retrictions are greater given the fact that they are now in the premiership.
I'm also certain that other groups such as the police also have an opinion on all this when decisions are made. If you have a problem, give Duffen a call, don't write or email him though, cos we're all thick us rugby fans.

Ashes series in 2003, Tri nations in 2004 and 2005.
The KC staged matches at a similar time of year. Poor excuse.

The premier league dictate, as you well know, Whelan has fallen out of love with Wigan RL, he'll have them out of the JJB first chance he has. The premiership puts pressure of Wigan Ath, in turn Whelan puts it on Wigan RL, and eventually something will give, and I bet it's not the football.
Need to point out, I would love to see the international come here later this year, but all the moaners either don't understand, don't appreciate the workings of the SMC or the fact that it's not as simple to sort out as those moaners appear to think it is.

The difference is, the JJB is Whelans Stadium whereas the KC is not Duffens.
The irony of all this is that Wigan will actually stage one of the interanationals whilst, as you put it, Whelan has not direct involvement with RL.

So if its a Premier League problem, how do the RFL manage to book Old Trafford each year for the Grand Final?

He asked the RFL to wait, they told him no, what more can he do.'"
I dont know for definate, but I would guess that all clubs will inform the FA of dates that the stadiums are in use for other things, lets face it a lot have rock concerts that need planning and dates well in advance, also Wigan manage it ok as do Elland Rd and Old Trafford, what makes City so different. Dont the FA know its not City's ground and that they are just TENANTS, can you imagine Duffen having the chance to put on U2 or the Stones and turning it down because he needed to know FC's fixtures first, I doubt it very much.

| Quote ="Chang"I am not happy with the way this d!khead has deprived us of an international in Hull this year. He bleats about the not been able to leagally allocate a specific date in October/November to play a Rugby League International and blames it on the RFL for not waiting till June.
How come then ;
1. Old Trafford is booked for 10th October for the RFL Grand Final
2. Wigan have agreed a weekend in November Sat/Sun TBC
3. Doncaster have firmed a date for one international.
4. The Galpharm has firmed up a date for one international.
5. Elland Road has been booked for the the Autumn International Final.
He does not want the comunity stadium to be used for the comunity, only for the out of towners that come to watch Hull City.
I listened with interest to the Hull City Fans Forum on Humberside tonight as Duffen and Brown were the guests on the panel. During the show David Burns, in his normal brown nosing way to Mr. Chairman (Duffen) commented I bet you have received a lot of mail and texts form the RFL Fans regarding the lack of an international at the KC. His reply was no I did not think they could write, Burns quickly moved him on quite embarrased by the comment.
That man is a tool and I would hope we and the tennants at the KC can get a good chant of Duffen Out at the good friday Derby just to show the football git what the RFL fans in Hull think of him. Then we can get back to hurling abuse at each other.
'"
Is that why both Hull R.L. forums are chock full of comments.
I am sure Duffen was being facetious in his attempt at a factitous fiction,in his attempt at compartmentalising said R.L. fans.

It's a regular booking, same as Hull Fair. The FA will know they have to work around this at Old Trafford every year, do you see the pattern forming here?

It's interesting that ALL rugby fans on here, both Rovers & FC, discuss the matter in hand for what it is but Vince turns it into his own personal attack on Richo and Kath
We are not bothered that our board don't have a say in the running of the Council Owned Stadium that is run Independently by the SMC (supposedly)

Who was the last one ?
If they booked acts who were worth seeing people would come from anywhere, I saw Metallica last night and there were coaches from Scotland and Exeter next to ours, the same happened a few years back when I saw Springsteen in London, people came from all parts of the UK, can the same be said for Neil Diamond.
