Paul Cooke was top class for Hull FC.
He is average for HKR. He grew up at Hull FC with the players around him . He then benefitted from playing alongside Jason Smith.
He is a great talent but he is struggling to recapture his Hull FC form.
He used to boss games , take on defences and push Hull around the pitch.
At Hull KR he is not given that role.
Money talks and he walked , not really a good career move .
I can see now why Rovers want Lockyer. What then for Cooke?

If he knuckles down like he says he is then there is absolutely nothing stopping him from having a great season.
I thought he had a few nice touches last night especially the grubber kick through for what I remember was the first try(may be wrong as cant honestly remember)but I didnt think he was that bad.
He still has the skill as you dont lose that. You can only lose desire so lets see if he proves people wrong !

Never been my favourite player even a couple of years ago for us, always thought slightly ovberated. But Briscoe, there is a fine player. Absolute class in every department. Peter Sharps retention/recruitment personified.

He was spoilt at Hull FC being surrounded by quality players. He now looks as average as those around him. Probably end up at salford or wakey when his current contract isn't renewed

Thought it was a pretty indifferent performance. Definitely showed some of what he learnt at FC (as Kear was so keen to point out

) by putting Briscoe in under the posts.

Think he will improve as the season goes on and he adjusts to his partnership with Dobson. People shouldn't forget as well, he's getting older.
