Not saying it's an issue. But there is lack of clarity about what happened to the £750k RFL funding for the East extension. Mr Skywalker suggests it's gone towards getting the North over the line, which seems plausible. In which case, sending letters to other SL chairmen to say the RFL's not supporting SL clubs seems inconsistent. |

Mrs B., the grant from the RFLs development fund for the East Stand ext'n was not transferred to the North Stand.
The NHS have opted to be housed in the North stand under a different arrangement. The lump sum of £250,000 toward the East Stand ext'n is replaced by a lease agreement.
The proposed South Stand project includes the East corner space (where the extension was supposed to be). Funding applications include a grant from the RFL development fund which I assume is the monies you are mentioning.
On your tongue-in-cheek troll re Hudge's letter, I like to think a person of your intellect will know the difference between capital funding and working capital.

The NHS are now to be housed in the North stand though.
I belived the monies they had provided was to be added to the pot as was any cash Rovers had for the East stand but Paul T's idea of the NHS just having a lease in the North is also a watertight idea.
Either way the NHS are now in the North as the North stand takes priority over an East stand extension. |

Good insight, thank you. On your last point, however, it doesn't take a genius to recognise that cash is king. If I were relying on a RFL handout to get the South Stand over the line as you imply, I would question the wisdom of writing to other chairmen criticising the potential paymaster for not also providing cash to make up income shortfalls/cost overspends in my operating cashflow, that's all. Seems a bit odd. |

If you look at it correctly it has two walls chest high at the back and adjacent to the RM stand, these walls are finished at either end and have capping work in the iside face, the other two walls are actually the same height as the square structure in the middle with a gap at the front and side to allow access. When the paving stones are added and the walkway upto it the shorter walls will only be one or two bricks above floor height, this looks like it will be a display area to me and the Everthorpe garden would fit in there in some shape or form. |
