| Quote ="fun time frankie"Your right I can't blame any player for leaving but I think Walker owed us like you say one season Minns had SL offers but he said Peacock did a lot to get him to Rovers and he felt he owed him some loyalty you find out a lot about your players when something like this happens'"
Hard to compare when you don't know the details involved, maybe Rovers asked Walker to talk a paycut, whilst not doing the same with others.
Who was after Minns, Leigh, seems a pointless move, it would be interesting if Wigan, Saints or any other established side made a move for him, Lunt or Blair.
If Walker moves to Saints, then next season he will be playing for a side challenging for trophies rather than fighting relegation.

Quite possibly but does the compassion & help given to him by the club, supporters and fellow players mean nothing? Rovers could have easily released the guy on the back of some very serious sexual assault charges, How many clubs would have picked him up before he was acquitted. add whether you think he'd be in a position to get the same deal he's probably got on the back of some solid performances at the back end of the season?
It's my opinion that Yes Adam Walker owes Hull KR some loyalty.

Well, as Minns son lives over in Salford a move to Leigh would have made a lot of sense if he were offered it. He gave an interview to YP after the MPG and said he commuted 200 miles a day.

Chortle.
I'm old school and will have been to most already although Oldham were still at Boundary Park back in 2006. Even Toulouse isn't a new trip for me.

Absolutely not. He's witless, injury prone and unfit. Apart from that....he's got a glass jaw...manages a massive 2-3 hit ups a game in his huge 10 minute contribution each game and other pros appear to find him a bit if a joke. If you want to repeat recent mistakes then he's your man.
He's exactly the kind of signing we should avoid like the plague. That and loan players in key positions..half backs full back hooker.
Hudgell has said he wants no loan signings from the Sharks.
We should be building a team for promotion that needs little tinkering to keep it from being relegated the following year.

He has given everything on the pitch, he is out of contract, if the rest of your players but the same about of effort then you wouldn't be relegated.
Deserved to choose who he plays for and just because Rovers did what any club would have done, doesn't he should stay with them.

We could have suspended him (on full pay) until it was resolved, but to release him we'd have had to pay out the rest of his contract.
Once the charges were dismissed, he was entitled to go about his business like anybody else. If the club helped him out, he owes them thanks.
I'm not massively impressed with him, but based on my knowledge of the situation, I think it's best if everybody just moves on.
What I am impressed with is Lunt-Blair-Minns-Scruton. That is a really good start in building a squad to do what we want to do.

Players get released all the time. They release him and pay up his contract. DOH!!! It's completely different to having a normal job with no contract.

A few, I've been impressed with him on TV and the derby from games, although I'd hope not as many as you.

At the same time Rovers stuck by Walker Sunderland were being panned by the press and safeguarding services for sticking by Adam Johnson. Sunderland were being threatened with legal action by the victim.
So yes Rovers did stick there neck out for Walker. They had no idea where it would go legally or if more charges would be brought as often are in these cases. He's a classless pr#ck and you're a wum.

If you there think I'm a WUM you don't know me very well, just because I don't agree with (which is fine) it doesn't make me a WUM.
Rovers played Walker as they needed him to play, was it best for him to play with fans of other clubs calling him all kind of names?
Your anger should be aimed at others at the club.

I'm not going to lie yes he was one of the better forwards but he's replaceable wheras Blair and Lunt would have been a lot harder to replace them two along with Greenwood were the three I'd hoped we could keep

| Dave K asked 'I wonder why?'
Well, players facing criminal charges have carried on playing for us and other clubs a number of times. Sometimes even after convictions, though there's usually then a punishment suspension.
The question then is more 'why would they suspend him?', and that comes down to the nature of the allegations, and the potential for reputational damage - like Sunderland suffered as a result of not suspending Adam Johnson. Presumably Rovers made a judgement that it was unlikely that a court would find Walker guilty, as proved to be the case.
