Often with a good deal of prompting from the agent who only is in it for what they can obtain financially.

| Massively chuffed about Thomas Minns staying. Very impressed with him. Bags of natural skill and loads of improvement still in him. Hope he avoids head knocks and concussions. Had a few too many last year for my liking and Darrell Goulding's premature retirement kept springing to mind. Let's be fair, Minns is already twice the player Liam Salter is, was and will be.
Adam Walker owes us a year in return for our loyalty and support during his court case troubles last year. But this is sport, he has an agent, he has a limited IQ and the concept of return loyalty probably goes over his head. He is a good player, he will be a loss but he's not irreplaceable. Time to move on.

I can.
He had despicable allegations against him. The club stayed loyal and helped him.....He can't offer 1 season to try and return. He could have been playing for the prison team without the club's help.
He's a classless pr#ck like his brother.
Minns is a great signing. He just needs to get his winger the ball now and again and he'll be a top centre.

| Relieved Minns is staying. One of the few I'd hoped would remain.
Walker was decent and had a few good games. Was much better in the 2015 season. A bit of a loss but in the end only an average forward. Anyone else sick of just accepting average players?
Isn't he going to either Wakey or Salford? If so he might be on the move again this time next year as well.

| Blair, Lunt and Minns are the 3 players I wanted most to stay with us ......Greenwood is the fourth ......Fingers crossed!
As for Walker, he hits the line and turns his back and then tries to do back peddling fairy steps in order to off-load .......That is his entire game! ......Full stop! ......I would have traded Walker with Mitch Clark any day of the week throughout our Super League campaign .......Hopefully Mitch will be our next signing.
And, regarding Walker's loyalty, Hull KR have not only stood by Walker throughout his court cases, but they have also paid for Walker to be chaperoned to every game he has played because this was a condition of his on going court case because he was accused of being a sex offender.
Hopefully we will meet Walker again in the cup, and, hopefully, we will have someone with the mettle of Green to give him the whack that he deserves!

| If Sheens is anything like the disciplinarian I think we need, Walker wouldn't have lasted long anyway. There's only so many weekends you can stagger round Sugarmill with your eyes rolling round your head and your jaw swinging in the breeze before you get found out. Couple more could do to watch their step too.

It's a short career so he quite rightly goes where he can get the most lucrative contract which will still be a fraction of what other professional sports get. He appeared to be your most consistent prop.
This loyalty thing from the club would probably go out of the window if he got a career ending injury....
Think there is a massive over reaction to him leaving..

| When the allegations against Walker came out, the club had two options - suspend him on full pay until the case was resolved, or continue to play him. Presumably one of the reasons they met with his lawyers was to estimate the level of risk to the club's reputation, if they did the latter. If there'd been overwhelming and incontrovertible evidence against him, I'm sure he'd have been suspended. And quite rightly. There apparently wasn't and that was a legal end of it.
The club couldn't convince him that it was going to be the best place for him to be moving forward. I can't muster much outrage. Equally, I'm not overwhelmed with disappointment - he's been a 6 out of 10 for a while. As the Wakey fan above points out that put him among the more consistent performers in the pack, but his departure at least frees up some budget to remodel what has been an area of significant weakness.
Glad Minns is staying. Arguably our best centre when fit in 2016.

A career ending injury is hardly the same thing as asking him to show a bit of loyalty to repay what we did for him I suppose the one thing relegation shows is your left with players who actually want to play for the club or feel they owe the club

The Championship could be a good level for Jordan, last season he bulked up at Warrington so would make an fair interchange forward to be used as a battering ram when "hard yards" are needed. If the wage demand is not to unreasonable give him another chance.

If the club had thought him likely to be found guilty, he'd have been dropped pdq.
We 'needed' Albert Kelly at the end of the season, don't forget.
The more pertinent point is that we presumably (given the nature of the allegations) thought he would not be found guilty, or were willing to accept assurances to that effect (which ultimately proved correct), so it was appropriate to stand by him.
If we'd supported him after a conviction, as we did with Ben Cockayne, then I think that would qualify as above and beyond and possibly justify some reciprocal loyalty. That said, I was pretty sanguine about us signing Paul Cooke when he left Hull.
It's the 'game' we, as a club are in. I don't mind at all that the Chairman is angry or frustrated - so long as it doesn't distract from or impede putting together a team that can win games.

Yep, can't argue with that. He'd fill a niche, potentially.
Walker and Green are gone, and I can't imagine we'll retain both Allgood and Tilse.
Are interchanges still going down next year though?
I suppose it depends to some degree on whether it was a Chester- and/or Peacock-instigated decision to release him in the first place.

Yeah because nobody on here has mentioned were light in the second row department or that we need a half and a decent full back

Exactley, if he was rubbish, they would have looked to release him, Walker gave his all on the pitch and was one of your better players, he owes the club nothing, he doesn't have a contract so isn't breaking it, did Waker get offered a lot less money?
Can't blame him for wanting to play in the top division and he has put in good service with Rovers and owes them nothing.

| I think you could easily put together a side to win the league, this side would do that IMO
Cockayne
Lancaster
Salter
Minns
Mantalato
Marsh
Gaskell, Ellis, Finn, Brieley etc
Scruton
Lunt
Tiles
Blair
Donaldson
Lawyer
Clarke
Addy
Jubb
Mariano
That's 3 signings plus the rumoured ones, the key is to be ready for the 8's and save some money for late signings.

Good championship signing, not convinced he would have been if you stayed up, but as it works out a good signing.

| Decent enough signing imo.
Rather optimistic about the future, wasn't so after the final kick in the MPG. For me, one of the best signings throughout British RL this year going in to next has got to be Sheens. The guys a winner, and people seem to for get he was not the head coach at Salford. Its put us a year behind going down but I'm confident we'll replace someone in SL next year. I don't know who, but there should be a few teams looking over their shoulders, and dare I say, "worried". Gonna miss the derbys though, I for one loved going to the KC on derby day, hairs on the back of the neck moments. Oh well, onwards to batley, dewsbury etc....
In Tim we trust! RRTR
