Back on topic, can I just say that if you really have signed Graeme Horne then you have posted your intentions to try and rest on your laurels. Your recruitment to date smacks of lack of funds available to Morgan.

I'm aware of that. I'm referring to the 'talent' you're assembling. Not one of them have impressed in at games I've seen. Graeme Horne was originally going on loan to the mighty Doncaster a year ago. Hardly a valued member of our team. Wheeldons departure hardly raised a comment either because he's just a fill-in player, nothing more.

Where are your marquee signings you were all expecting?

I dunno. Ask Agar. Personally, I think he's a decent player but makes too many errors.

We havent signed him yet.

All of these three are good signings IMO, Hodgson is one for the future and so is Ratu.

All clubs make dodgy signings (you of all people should know that) and Esders would have cost us almost nothing, so was no loss, Mills was at the time a good signing for us (the biggest mistake was the length of his contract) and Wheeldon as proved to be well worth the addition .

Done excellent for Rovers - perhaps the lack of comment was due to the fact that there was so much other flak flying Scottys departure was the least of FC's worries!

Potentially, I think Ratu could turn out to be an excellent signing.

How can we judge yet? 4 of them haven't played for us - 1 of those hasn't even signed for us yet. Esders is a Harlequins player now. Mills' second contract was a mistake, with hindsight. Wheeldon has turned out well - not spectacular, but definately solid.

That happens all the time. After Maiva and Thorman, you should know that well enough. The law of averages means you'll be doing well for none of your new signings to disappoint at least slightly.

Gazing into my crystal ball, I can imagine Ratu, Hodgson and Cook all making positive contributions while wearing numbers bigger than 13. A prop as good or better than Fozzard coming in and on paper, we'll look better than this time last year (when we were 4th in the league), IMO. If that doesn't happen then I'll have a slight sense of disappointment - but I'll take comfort knowing how much happiness this brings to a poor benighted people, who once dreamt of 'kicking on' from a Grand Final appearance.
