He is the best scrum half in SL now, certainly the best playmaker which his nearest rival Burrow isn't imo.

Back on topic, looks like the original poster was most correct in his comment about Dobson being the best scrum half in Super League.

He has definatley improved no doubts there, not sure he is the best in SL yet however if he carries on he may reach that.

I think Myler(fantastic prospect), Burrows offer a bit more consitency, I feel Dobbo needs to be more consitent, I do not think his kicking is always accurate, when he played against Huddersfield he kicked a penalty right into Hudds hands, when he played in the derby he went missing the 2nd half, for me the 2 above offer a little more consitency, and more in defence however like I pointed I am sure he will be in the mix to be considered the best in SL if he carries on improving. I am not biased KR have a few players I would welcome in our team Dobbo is one of them, also Vella who I rate very highly and I think Kris Welhams is a fantastic prospect.

I am sure you would consider most rugbly league fans biased then if they rate Burrows higher



or maybe just fc fans eh

Those stats backs up my original post which I claimed he was poor in defense, he has indeed improved in this area however missed tackles Burrows 14, Dobbo 40, also errors Burrow 7, Dobbo 19. He is improving and like I said imo (not fc specs) he is not the best yet, although if he improves in certain areas he may well become the best in superleague although Myler will also be in contention.

Even with those 'terrrible' errors from our main playmaker we are still second and above Leeds. I can cope with that

TBH, he does make errors, but the tend to be minor, he more than makes up for it with what he does right, such as his kicking game. We know he isn't the best tackler in the game, but how many of the true playmakers and organisers ever have been across the years. I think that the rest of our team can make up for his lapses in defence (although he is getting better) if he keeps digging out 30 and 40 yards with his kicks and creating tries for others with his short kicks behind the line he cancels those out IMO.

He is also very deceptive close to the line and scores a fair whack of tries himself, mainly due to the opposition not knowing what he is going to do.

I agree with that, he is young and I am sure he wants to improve every aspect of his game which I am sure he will.
Mind you he is definatley the best in the city

My vote would go to Rob Burrow.Although it cant be denied about Dobson`s ability.

Fantastic spells at Catalan and Wigan, now a fine season from the little guy for the Robins. No doubting at all that he has been a stand out player in his time in SL.
