Based on 2014, this is hardly adding to your fullback inventory.

It was a tongue-in-cheek comment based on the fact that we have a decent FB in Mullaney and we're supposed to be on the verge of signing Kevin Locke. Add a little bit of Eden rumour and you have to come to the conclusion that too many cooks spoil the broth. But thanks for taking something written on the internet literally.

| Odd one. But too odd not to be true. Maybe Sandercock has seen enough of Ulugia to let Eden go.
Shame if true. He can be breath taking in attack. Has rare ability of all the skills. But to paraphrase a great comedian he has all the skills just not necessarily in the right order.
The bigot has been a better option this year. He doesn't make offensive errors (apart from his political outpouring) which gets our pack the opportunity to get on top. He does make as many defensive errors as Eden. Both of their positioning is terrible though again the bigot appears the better communicator, ironically.
Still strange to let him go if true.
It's not like we have injuries.

| If true, then it's a shame. But i allways got the impression his heart wasn't at the club.
On the playing front, he's gone backwards this year. A game changer, yes. But too erratic a player. Is it coincidence that the games we've won this year, he wasn't in the team at all?!

| I'm Old Skool.
I like my fullbacks to be solid.
I do enjoy watching Eden play and I think he has an awful lot to offer.
However, his positional play in defence is terrible, he also clearly does not set the defence correctly.
The general opinion is that he's marvellous in attack. I disagree, he's fantastic running in broken play but some of his passing when chiming into the line is as likely to hit row Z as the winger or centre.
People seem to think that Fullback has evolved into a whole new position. I would disagree, the best full backs from years back could always defend ferociously, get into the attacking line, organise the defence and have fantastic pace.
I'm talking about players like Fairburn, Kemble, Jack, Lydon, Hampshire, Radlinski and my own personal favourite, this bloke before he moved to stand off was immense in a test series I watched in the mid nineties, Lockyer.
Positionally perfect, pace, commanding, superb one on one tackler of anybody, had his defence marshalled like Montgogery, scored when he fancied it.

Echo all of that, Ulugia must be seen either as a permanent solution for the wing with BC staying at FB or WU slotting into FB. (has he played there much?)
Shame if Eden does go as he has flashes of brilliance, unfortunately they have been far to few this year.

| Monday's performance was Greg Eden in a nutshell. 2 knock on's with virtually his 1st 2 touches, then he ghosts in for a try and sets up Caro with a splendid pass.
Rocks & diamonds.

| The Huddersfield story can be one of several, depending on who's version you want to believe
(a) He's still their player, on a 2 year loan to Rovers
(b) We paid a transfer fee for him and they can take him back after 2 years
(c) When his contract expires, they have 1st refusal, IF Eden wants to go there.
(d) Eden has no choice, he will be frog-marched to Fartown and made to go on duel reg at Batley for the rest of his career.

| I've come to the conclussion that Eden annoys me. He has undoubted talent when attacking but simply refuses to learn from his mistakes defensively or carrying the ball out of our own half when he does take the kick. Hes also introduced a new facet to his game - panic offloads.

| Now im old school also.
When it went up when Briscoe was fullback or going back further to Fairburn it was a given they'd catch and return to the 30 at least.
With Eden or to a certain degree Cockayne its please catch it.
