Its your clubs home tie and its their sole responsibility as it is with every home club to effectively assess potential flash points/trouble and then pay for a police presence if they feel it is needed.
Just by the nature of it being a derby the police will deploy a number of their officers into the general area but if the club want them to police the actual ground then its out of your clubs coffers and no one elses im afraid !!!!

Both clubs have agreed to split the cost 50/50 for the full year for Derby games (home and away) and any extra costs if its a neutral venue in the playoffs. As you dont just pay for costs in your grouns for safety but have to pay part of the cost for policing the area and town areas were fans will get together. I think its a great idea they have imployed as both clubs and plebs in them!

If you was correct why would Hudge agree to pay half when its a hell of a lot cheaper to pay for the policing of 11000 supporters at your ground than 24000 at ours.(The bigger the crowd the more officers needed, Simples !)
What I put in my above post is how the police are employed during sporting events. I am not going to divulge how I know these things but believe me, I may not know if you are signing Brough or if we are resinging Cookie but this my friend Is a topic I do have knowledge of !!
