As much as my team benefitted from the decision, this is my train of thought as well.

Surely, all Ganson had to do was look at who touched the ball first after the kick from Houghton (in this case Green) and then run the footage back to see where Green had come from at the point of the kick. After a review of approximately 10 seconds we end up with a decision of offside.

Still, as I've posted on a couple of other sites, there is an element of black humour to all of this (well for us at least, if not for you lot

I am pragmatic about these things, an inch or two in front is hard to judge & I can except if it had gone against us a real time judgement, I can't except what happened last night, Green was at least three meters offside after that point the only way he could be classed on side was for the kicker to run him on side (he did not) even then he would have to stay ten meters away from Eden & Eden would have had to touch the ball which he did not, a totally wrong decision on three counts. The worst decision I have seen in over 50 years of watching this game. It has severly dented my confidence the integraty of the officials. The only thing I take comfort in is the commitment from the players I could fault nothing in their attitude & the way the coach got them prepared.

We can go on for ever about these things like forward passes or did the ball touch the line tries (yeaman)
But when the video ref watches it for 5 minutes then makes a complete hash of it , then its a different ball game.

And, though this is just my opinion, daft. I didn't think he was a cheat last year and I don't now. Capable of horrendous errors? That is a different matter.

He is capable of huge errors of judgement - we've not forgotten the sending off of Jason Smith in the first minute of the first game at the KC. He is not a cheat though and I was just giving chester wednesday a nod to GML's post yesterday saying libellous posters would be banned.
