It does look bad but i guess the only people with the full picture are the ones in charge. Merchandising is letting you down in a big way from what i have seen and read.

If it was a load of tosh it would have been refuted immediately. The fact that Sky sports and other sources are also reporting on this debt tells me that it is true. (The HDM may print unfounded crap but other media sources are a bit choosier with what they allow to go to print or air)

I think you will be one of the few if not the only Rovers fan who thinks these debts are made up. Whether they are as bad as they seem is the only thing that is up for debate surely?

That's the net position. Total debt is £3.2m but assets on the balance sheet offset a proportion of that figure and you end up with a net position of being £1.5m in the red.

Plus the losses for 2009 of course.

Isn't that true for a lot of Rugby League clubs including Hull .

I guess so for some clubs yeah, most aren't reliant on individual backers though. With FC operating at a profit if our directors did ask for their loans back we'd be able to cover it. Your'e right though, most other clusb couldnt.
