Unless players are breaking tackles or speeding through gaps all the tie, some fans assume they are rubbish, they cannot see the bigger picture because they don't fully understand the game unlike the ex-players you mention. My take on Tilse is that he is a competent prop, not a top end prop who will get bettrr with a fee more 'robust' forwards recruited. He does make yards with players on him, he is quick to the PTB which will give Lunt and Boudebza time to create space.

Joel Ruddy is now rumoured, so should add a little more experience and strike to the backs. Hanging onto Sio, Dixon, Josh etc will be key. Thornley will be an asset. Minns not sure will start, will depend on Welham and Salter.

After watching rovers and Rugby league for more then 50 yrs i hope you dont think i do not know a good or bad player when i see one if you are saying me, but i do believe that tiles is here for one thing only to get paid while he takes a holiday But if he does stay (I HOPE NOT) I hope he proves me wrong and turns out to be a good one

Its your opinion that he's a bad player that's fair enough but it doesn't mean that he is. Do you think that ex players and people who have been involved in Rugby League don't know a good player from a bad one but you do?

Tilse is the epitomy of average, how he played 200 NRL games is beyond me.
These ex players must be very easy to please

I agree I think some of these so called supporters should back the players rather than slag them.
I also think Tilse is a decent forward,he came in the middle of the season had an injury and missed a few games, it has been proven some players need time to adapt to the English game. Ok,you will never see him sprint 50 yards, but he is always there to take the ball up and he never misses a tackle. I don't believe Chester is using him to the best of his ability, he has a good pair of hands and can read a game he showed that when he got the ball out for one of Dixons tires against Bradford. He should be taking it up second man out and have guys backing him up something we don't do a lot, I hope he stays along with Pulatua Allgood, Green and Walker there aren't many good props available , and yes I agree 200 games in the NRL is a decent pedigree.
I also have watched and played for over 50 yrs so I like to think I know a bit about the game but there again that is only my opinion, we are entitled to that.

6 times on Saturday Tilse bounced up for a quick PTB , only for nobody around him to react quickly enough .

Let down by his team mates lack of game smarts.

Tilse had a good game on Saturday and he wins his collisions. His defence is his biggest asset.

He has one issue for me at the moment in that is he is not as good as Mick Weyman, who he was signed to replace. Give him time FFS.

He has pedigree and he will only get better as he gets used to the tempo of SL again.

Not only do you consider your opinion to be more accurate than ex players but also better than NRL coaches. You don't lack confidence.

It was directed at no-one in particular. I first saw Rovers in March 63 and so have seen a lot of good, bad, and superstar players come through the club, as I said Tilse to me is just a good solid prop, if he leaves I wouldn't be crying over it but I am quite happy if he stays for reasons I have mentioned and others have too.

I was always surprized that Reddy didn't make the switch to the forwards because he is big enough and loves to defend and he never stood out as back. He is a real journeyman who has played at several clubs and has played a lot of reserve grade.
His family is "colourful" - his brother Liam is a soccer goal keeper who is one of the dirtiest players in Australia and was once sacked from a team because his father punched out the coach - which brings us to the father who was one of the dirtiest league players ever and was once a coach of the Adelaide Rams.
Oddly, Joel isn't a dirty player at all. Could do with getting a bit more aggressive if anything.
