Agree,been outstanding last 3 seasons,top tackler as well as go forward.Keating is better than he has showed,maybe a switch to hooker may help,tackles well enough and has pretty decent hands/pass,except for the 2nd half sunday,and find another scrum half ,which wont be easy.

Is the thumb for Dixon or Mantellato...or annoying Stan? If it's Mantellato we're looking for a kicker, which probably means Travis is on his way.

The thumb was for the third,and I fear we are going to lose travis,plus the recent performances aren't going to encourage him to stay.I fear we are about to lose a 2nd 100% player and how to replace them,no idea.Mantellato must be worth a shot,3 trys at the weekend and is top points scorer in aussie 2nd grade last 2 years,but as you say makes you think travis is on his way.

Mantellato scored 16 points on the weekend. He is currently 36 points clear on the leading point scoring with 4 games to go. He should finish on top again for the third year running. Outstanding achievement.

He looked like he was playing in pain to me. Probably a rib injury by the look on his face, but it didn't stop him scoring 2 tries and kicking 4 goals. They did give the last kick to Dobson after Mantellato scored the last try - don't know why.
He is named in the side for next week, so I think he's keen to get that top score position.
He actually top scored in the local Newcastle comp for 3 years before he joined the Knights, so this will make 6 years in a row for him.

I feel that sio Dixon Goulding and manntellato would significantly strengthen our backline from what it is now.

That would be our backline next season + cockayne at full back,if the transfers come to fruition,with salter still improving and I would imagine with welham still around the backs look stronger IMO than this year. Dont know what your opinion of welham is,but since he broke his leg against cats,he seems to have gone backwards still the same faults but his try scoring seems to have vanished,I know galea used to lay plenty on for him, but has difficulty holding on to the ball and runs as though he is wearing a pair of jason nethertons boots.

Agree with all that he has always had suspect defence but since the leg break his attack his sharpness has vanished. Don't think any club will come in for him so I reckon he'll be starting off as back up . You. Ever know he may do a shenton !!!
