been reading some of the stuff about free tickets been given away for todays game, I applaud the thinking behind this wish we was able to do it more, I think there maybe a problem with the agreement we have for this to happen all the time

But I am a great believer in getting schools behind the team why not if the seats are going to be empty I would give a couple of thousand away to schools in the west of hull every game barring the derby, get people in to watch rugby and maybe some will get hooked the more we spread the word about sport the better,it would be great if both hull clubs got 16,00 17,00 every game what an atmosphere that would be on derby day

Well done on a great attendance and I will be there this year to take advantage of your new stand if it is allocated to FC fans I have never come to KR before in super league due to the poor view from the side we are put, and the price we where charged for it but I will be attending this year now your facilities seem to be improving just hope that's where we are allocated if not ill stay away and watch on TV hope not

Look forward to welcoming you to our stadium. However, dont expect Hull to get any more North Stand allocation than any other side due to our passholders seated there. FC will get approx 1000 seats plus the usual South Stand I expect. I anticipate the usual bunfight on here when this is announced.

Did the people attending the game pay for them? If yes, how much?

The school bought the tickets and gave them to the children. How does that make them free?

Because the kids didn't pay to attend? Now your definition of free might be different to mine but if someone bought a ticket and gave it to me I'd say I got it for free

1500 tickets? Where has that come from? I assume you're referring to premier club tickets which give club members access to Hull FC games as well as city? Only fair that Hull should be recompensed for tickets bought by city fans which give access to Hull FC games don't you think? 1500 seems a lot though and at current rates would be in excess of £750k a season. Are you sure about your info? I can assure you that premierclub passes aren't free in anycase

I too think the 'not free' ticket initiative is genius - Rovers are adding on 1,500 potential new fans, getting them into the game, and when they're there they'll probabley spend money anyway. The fact it's in a stand where no one would want to pay to be in makes it all worth while anyway, and Rovers are still getting cash for the tickets. Hats off to the club on this one, great piece of marketing.

So by your logic you have hundreds/thousands of free's at every home game every time a family attend then after all the kids don't personally pay for the tickets themselves.

Damn, I bought mine and Mrs G's passes this season, meaning she's getting in for free? Next year i'll buy hers and she can by mine and we can both get in for free, can't figure out why i hadn't thought of this before.

At the end of the season, we all write our names down on a bit of paper and chuck them in a barrel. Then we all draw a name out (a bit like Secret Santa) and you have to buy that persons pass for next year.

This way, everyone gets in free for every game.

Thought the new stand was ok, maybe a bit small and was disappointed with the facilities under the stand, but defiantly a step in the right direction and a massive improvement for away fans. Would certainly come back again, after not coming to a derby for a few years.

What was disappointing about the facilities? The north stand concourse seems to be done to a better spec than most grounds. Like saints for instance.

So am I right with my maths here the smc spend £140,000 on passes each year , season tickets are aprox £220 each (mine was £255 on the dd scheme)
140,000 divided by 220(aprox) = 636 passes . ? Is that correct ?
