He/She was ejected from the West Stand 2 weeks ago for squirting the kids with a water gun, this resulted in the biggest 'BOOO' I've ever heard in the west stand. The Allams (when they turn up) are usually in Morgans box (kinky) so I doubt they got wet.

He/She was at the Salford game on Sunday - Could be anyone inside so this isn't evidence of anything.

Greens being our stand out performer this year. If Rovers have let him go or accepted a transfer fee for him then it shows we're comfortable with mediocrity. Our best players should be kept and then built around.

Maybe this is the change of direction Hudgell has talked about - cutting the cloth and promoting from within. Good idea tbh. At FC, apart from Houghton we have no Hull born first team regulars brought through our academy in the last 5 years which is appalling. I think a re-focus on homegrown talent with 3 more years of SL in the bag is astute thinking.

It's quite ironic really, when we first came up to SL we got slagged off by FC fans for being an Aussie side with no youth development (kick 'em out was the standard call), now five years on we have a fair few coming through to the first team squad, plus young lads from other junior set ups like Watts.

I think a push to get at least 5 playing regular first team next season would be the next step for the club (especially for the following round of franchises, which with ground improvements (which will happen) could give us a grade A in 2015.

Hudgell spoke of giving the young players such as Taylor and Cox more game time and i massively agree with this strategy. Have my doubts that Rich Beaumont will still be here to be honest with Salter and Ollett already added to the homegrown list and im told a couple more soon to follow. I wouldnt be against keeping Beaumont on and duel contracting him out though to see how he develops.
What he also said though was that our recruitment will be centred around our pack so i expect at least 2 or 3 big forwards coming into the club.

I've often wondered why we don't use the dual registration more often, Wigan seem to use this very well to bring on their young talent and it seems a better grounding than using the reserve grade. I thought the Whitehaven link we set up was supposed to develop this?

I think we're maybe too ready to assume that our youngsters would necessarily get loads of game time in the Championship and the clubs in those divisions are desperate to stuff their squads full of untried kids. Wigan have the advantage of reputation and possibly convenient location.
