Ive heard a strong rumour that there are some strong rumours doing the rounds , rumour wise.

Hate Murray, giving his 1.6M winnings to cancer research was a nice touch though.

Gone up in my estimation then, still a miserable****. His best mate has leukaemia so nice gesture.

He is the second best in the world at what he does, and is trying his hardest to become the best. He is a tennis player and a supremely dedicated athlete, not a stand-up comedian.

He also donated his prize money from Queens, not Wimbledon.

Several sources state he [uhas[/u donated his Wimbledon winnings to charity. I understand that today he is tired and seems to have spent the entire day giving interviews and having to answer the same questions over and over, but he is a charisma-free zone. I still don't like him.
Despite the umpteen news reports, the entire country did not come to a standstill to watch the Final. Hopefully all the hype will soon be over for a while.

I like a bit of tennis me, couldn't care what any sports people are like off the field of play, most of them are pillocks.

I like Murray, he's good to watch.

Ellery Hanley always seemed a bit of a bell end as a bloke, but he was great to watch on t'paddock.

I'm sure he would rather be the best in the world at his chosen sport than have the potential to move on to the after dinner speaking circuit.

Haven't watched it yet, bumped into him (literally) a couple of years ago outside Hull City Hall, very nice guy, doing a lot for poetry in schools. Better than all that Kipling and Wordsworth stuff we had to learn reams of!
