Murrell played as a left-side pivot yesterday - the exact same position he played the back end of last year when the team won a lot of games including Leeds at home and I didn't hear anyone moan about it last year.

The half-back situation had nothing to do with it - our entire front-row (barring Wheeldon) turned in unacceptable performances though their cause was made harder by some basic errors.

The flash downfall of rain mid-afternoon yesterday meant the conditions were not conducive to the way Rovers like to play but it's no excuse. Whilst I'm pleased to see the amount of attacking flair in the team this year, the team need to appreciate that they need to earn the right to play that way and too many players didn't roll their sleeves up.

I think that Bell is going to be a star but do we really want him making his debut away from home against an in form Castleford team and up against the wily Danny Orr? Not withstanding the fact that he will be playing behind a pack that seems have have forgotten how to go forward.
Morgan will stick with Murrell because he trusts him to do the job after the way he stepped into the half back role last season.

Completely disagree. Play him away from home where rovers fans are more rabid. They will give him more support than the fickle (part time) fans at home.

Murrell will never let you down, he’s just not an instinctively creative player.
