Correction. Indeed, under the high ball Motu had no confidence for the first 3 games - probably manifested by the crowd's tense silence every time a ball was lobbed up.

By the St Helens game away, though - the 4th I believe - which wasn't televised and only witnessed by the loyal away support, he gritted his teeth and pocketed a horrendous high ball in the first 15 mins. The screams and cheers from the Faithful set the scene for the rest of his season.

From that moment - until he got injured, from what I recall (and I did see every game) - Motu was safe under the high.

You could see his confidence build - by the end he was plucking them out of the air. It wasn't that he was "crap" under the high ball, merely that he had no confidence due to the early mistakes and the crowds' resulting holdings of breath.

Can't wait to see him back - he'll do us proud (thanks for the concern, though).

I actually never meant it like that, I meant there are a number of teams that could finish 3rd-8th and that includes Rovers. Not everything is a Hull/Rovers spat you know

I completely agree with Paul M, my opinion is that Rovers won't finish in the top 8. That was last season Hull finished bottom.

Well the fact that he missed out Crocker from the starting line up, who is better than Galea, can make up for it. Personally I dont agree with a couple of his selections though (Tony and Cusack been better imo)

Yes, thats one reason but also I disagree on some that do match up.

Quite a few could have been argued Murrell/Washbrook being one but the Galea/Tickle comparision was by far the most incorrect.
Crocker;s international and SOO record would say he is better then Galea but Ben is far more important to Rovers then Crocker could be simply because Morgan likes to play expansive rugby and Ben Galea is pivitol to that.
Hull are much more a forwards orientated style of play and with Jon Sharp now on board that is unlikely to change much.

Morgan would take Crocker over Galea in a heartbeat. Crocker is definitely superior to Galea.

Have you ever contemplated the thought that other teams may also have strengthened considerably? And other teams may also have had injury lists?

Player of the Season and Players Player proves that.
I did not argue Crocker's credentials but i doubt Morgan would swap Galea.
He is far too important.
When he was injured last year it had a massive effect, when he returned the form lifted.
