Lunt behind a Good pack would be one of the best hookers in SL. As with most hookers playing off the back foot will make them look worse than they are. It was only 12 months ago your man of steel wasn't regarded as good enough for even your 8th placed team according to a few of your fan base.

Josh Hodgson looked no more than good for us, he's now a stand out in the NRL.

Sio has a young family to look after & was always likely to leave.

Blair is late in his career & strikes me as pretty loyal...gut feeling he might stay.

Walker will have options but we stuck by him before & during his court case...think he might also show some loyalty.

Greenwood has impressed & might be harder to keep hold of.

Those fans were clowns, last year I had loads of arguments with fans about Houghton, in reality he hasn't played much better this year, just had better players around him to make him look better, always been a great player and our most important player.

I like Lunt, but don't think he would start for any of this seasons top 4.

It would be a travesty for Sio to play in the championship, think he was always going back to the NRL irrelevant of Rovers being in SL

I agree Houghton hasn't been much different and still lacks a quality passing game or picking the right option that great hooked do. Makes up for it in spades with grit and hard work but still wouldn't get in a top side. Lunt won a grand final a couple of years ago so can't be that bad.

Hdge stated positive news in next few days. He could hinted that it would involve at least one if: Blair, Cockayne and/or Campese. Bet it's just Charlie...

If Campese took a pay cut I'd keep him 1 more year. Look at Ellis at Hull. Was injury prone and crap for first season or two. He's had a great year this year.

Really need Blair to stay. We need a much bigger (not taller) and aggresive pack next year and Blair to guide them.

The championship will be a lot slower than SL with a lot of hokding down, slow play the balls etc. Smart play makers, fast backs and powerful line breaking forwards are whats needed. But then again, we needed those in SL. We nearly had the playmakers and backs (apart from injury) but the forwards were pretty useless. Josh and Ken made more meters up the middle than the forwards last season.

Ryan Bailey has about 5, as said he is a good hooker, not a great one though, just lacks something and the reason he isn't at a top club

Ellis has never been crap at Hull, been great if all seasons at Hull, a little bit injury prone but sure he has played an average of 20 games a season though, so not a great comparison.

With the right signings I think you will be back the year after next and probably replace Salford, so if I was Blair I'd stay for one more season at Rovers rather than sign for Salford.

No, at this time your no more a top side than Castleford who finished 2nd a year or so ago or even where we were in 2009. Top sides do it consistently, time will tell but I think if you want to become a consistent top side ghen you need a better hooker than Houghton (or an interchange) in the long run.
