| When the time come's for us to get a new coach, which will hopefully be sooner rather than too late, lets hope we will be picking them because of their rugby knowledge not psychmetric testing them like last time seeing that this method looks like a quick way to the bottom of the league!

| If we were to go down the lower division coach route then I'd prefer to do our shopping down Post Office Road.

| I think Lee Radford would be a really good shout do get in alongside sandercock would no doubt improve the defence and also frighten a few people to death which may give them the kick up the backside they need.

I doubt anybody has had a chance to plan that far ahead. If the axe did fall immediately (and personally I think that is unlikely) it'd be Chester as caretaker until we sorted something out.
Tbh, I'm holding out more in hope than expectation after last night. For me he didn't come into the season on his 'last life', so sacking him after 4 or 5 games looks a bit trigger happy. He's on that last life now though and I'm not sure he'd survive defeat at London - and he probably/certainly needs one of the two after that as well.
No room for sentiment in the decision, but it must have been even more horrible for him than for us, watching them chuck that away. At 50 minutes, it feels like we're maybe seeing a few (small) green shoots, half an hour later his career as a head coach is hanging by a thread. We'd get another coach and pick up the pieces, I doubt he'd get another chance. He seems a decent and genuine enough sort of guy, but this a brutal business.

| Quote ="SirStan"Now really is the time. I have kept my powder dry on Mr Sandercock for several months now, but dry powder goes up with a big bang. Lets look at the facts:
2 wins in the last 14 games (both against a very poor Widnes side)
2 wins since June 2012!
In those 14 games we concede an average of 31 points. How you hope to win games with that defence is beyond me.
Fourteen games is over half a season and should not be forgotten. The sample size is large enough now to draw a lot of conclusions. The bloke is out of his depth and clearly doesn't know how to fix the problem. Listening to him, I'm not even sure he knows what the problem is! He goes on about discipline (which was shocking as usual), but when we concede a penalty you just know a try will follow, as we are completely unable to defend our try line.
Almost every occasion Salford got in our 20 they scored. Worse, we all knew it was going to happen, because we see it every week. The defensive structures are non-existent. We may have some bad defenders in the side, but a good coach would improve individual technique and give them a pattern that allows them to support each other, while at the same time, compensate any weaknesses. We have none of that.
Anyone thinking he needs more time is just deluding themselves, he simply isn't going to fix it, he doesn't have the tools. There isn't any point in delaying this any longer, if he were a horse, the gun would be out, as he's a suffering animal. Agree a pay off (carry on paying his salary until the contract expires if necessary), and get someone in who knows the game. The cost of this will be dwarfed by the loss in gate revenue if nothing is done.
Someone mentioned James Webster. Perhaps this is a romantic nod to the past, but I have heard worse ideas.'"
We put with Agar for far too long. If the time is right, then the time is right.

It is tricky.
I am of the opinion that the coach (as long as he gets a fair crack of the whip) has to carry the can. I think Sandercock is pretty clueless looking from the sidelines. A lot can be gleaned from after match interviews, if you watch body language etc
However, you do have to feel for someone who has their job on the line, and is basically watching his players capitulate and show questionable commitment and attitude after the game is "won"
I personally believe those players bigger than the club, get sacked off into the reserves immediately. Under Agar, I would have gladly turned up to watch the academy players instead of some of the non commited dross we got served up.
Nutshell - IMO Sandercock has to go, AND some of the players need a right royal beasting
(HOpefully he stays all season from an FC perspective )

| For me it's either drop mika until he learns some common sence or risk being sacked. Lost us the game mika with 2 daft errors that led to tries

Agree with what you say their, Morgan was a desirable coach whilst at Rovers.

| Using FC as an example, yes they persevered with Agar for far too long, but prior to that they chopped and changed far too regularly for a few years which meant a bunch of consecutive "settling in periods"
It's a dangerous game to play unless we were going to bring a pretty special replacement.

| You know what, Im not a fan of wane at Wigan. Dont think he is as good as he thinks he is but you know what? he bigs his side up when they play well but he mullers them when their crap. Only this weekend Tomkins finally got binned for back chatting and Wane said straight away 'He wont be doing that again'.
Can you imagine Sandercock saying that about Dobson? no. it would be jeez, we cant get a break with these refs.
The guy has to find some balls and berate the team in the fans eye if they are crap.

| Its last chance saloon for the sandman sandercock. The mighty Warrington await. Everybody will turn up expecting the mother of all maulings. Warrington have no weaknesses. We wont get thirty points against these we wont get twenty against these infact we will struggle to get a try against these. Our defence will do well to hold them to fourty. This team under the sandman lacks everything that teams under Justin had and especially passion it was passion personified with ben cockayne, clint newton, shaun briscoe, stanley gene, even makali didnt seem to drop the ball as much. Its looking bad really bad. Only one hope a man waits in the wings he must take the stage and show this team how its done.
BRING ON BURNS!!!
