Well played guys - a thoroughly deserved victory. We seem totally incapable of exerting any pressure inside our opponents' 20 metre area - scores of 6; 10; and 10, in our last three games tells a story - and certainly isn't going to win many SL games. Hopefully, our confidence will come back before the middle 8's, because we haven't seen the last of KR this season!

Also, a huge well done to your travelling army, who attended in large numbers, and got well behind your team. As for the attendance - well if you guys brought about 2,000, surely we provided more than 1,800?!

(Mind you, that attendance was announced about 10 minutes from the end, when a good few of our fans had done the 'walk' more commonly associated with our neighbours from across the borough of W***n!!

I thought we'd get out muscled in the forwards but we didn't Johnson and Mulhearn were excellent Blair ran himself into the ground and Abdul was very good and apart from a couple of brain farts we controlled the game it doesn't make any difference to what will happen come the middle 8s but it's nice to beat a SL side with a few out injured

Abdul, Lawler and Heffernan stood out for me. Johnson put a lot of effort in but does almost always end up on his back. He dropped the ball twice today too. Looks a decent player if he cuts the errors out.
Mention for Salter who defended very well.
Quinlan needs to get more of the ball. He creates something almost every time he gets it.
Great effort defensively. Lunt led the side well and Abdul ran the game. Where did that kicking game come from?
Good atmosphere. Shame it's not like that at home.

I thought the forward battle was pretty equal, but your backs were so much better than ours. How many of our passes did you intercept/or did but 'lost the ball', my mate reckons 8 times.
Our play is so predictable, and somebody like Tim Sheens would have noted that after watching us play once, I guess.

Surely a draw against Hull, home or away would be the best draw for you, good payout, big test if your side and nothing to lose.

Home match against a SL team we might meet in the middle eights would be my preference.

Agree and disagree the point is if and it might be a big if we beat them and they then know what to do to beat us but if we get beat by them and we do play them they might then think we will be easy and we can turn the tables on them so agree and disagree if you faller my drift

I disagree, you're worrying to much that we're gonna do a Leigh of 2015, we're not. This league, without wanting to be disrespectful to other teams, is to much of a breeze for this rovers side, we can mount a cup run on the side with this squad. The issue Leigh had in 2015 wasn't the mini cup run they went on, but the man they had at the helm, having them play silly rugby in their own 20.

A year ago and we got done by Oldham and were dumped out of the CC and with just SL to concentrate on we still got relegated. After Oldham, I didn't see again the sort of gutsy and committed performance of yesterday (particularly in defence) all season. There's something about the cup that brings out the do or die or s*1t or bust mentality necessary for survival and better still success.

Yesterday the current squad missing several starters and still minus at least a couple of reinforcements showed how to play at a higher level of speed and intensity for 80 minutes and I agree with the coach that they still have more to give. The Championship should keep the boys honest until the middle 8s and the cup will ensure the boys keep improving to raise their game to build towards the highest end of season performance levels.

Bang on Pickering! I don't get all this negative talk about the cup either. We are more than well stocked in players to rotate from Championship to potential super league opponents.
I want as many super league teams we can play until the middle 8's. The last thing we want is a shock to the system when we have to up our game and then struggle.
