I wasn't a huge fan of Chester being appointed head coach in the first place to be honest, I feel like when Sandercock was released they should have looked elsewhere rather then promoting from within because a whole new attitude and ethos for the team could have been instilled with a completely fresh face - in hindsight I think Chester's run was largely just a continuity of what went on before him with Sandercock.

I firmly believe Webbo is doing as well as anybody could do with the squad available to him and I am fully behind his appointment but I would hope the club know sooner rather than later who will be in charge next season so that they can start recruitment/retention of players

In light of his record since moving to Wakey - and in particular today's result - it's a fair question.

That said, sometimes you just get a coach and group of players that don't work together and a change of scene is best for both.

Good for him and good for Wakefield.

I never thought he was a terrible coach. I do think he oversaw a very poor preseason that has contributed significantly to our very poor form. I doubt he'll make the same mistake again. Staying with us would have destroyed his career, and delayed us moving on - as we'd have had to eventually IMO.
