It would have been nice to renovate the old ground but i suppose the deal offered at the time looked too good to turn down. It probably was until the people managing it made a complete knackers of it.

Had a real reminder of old CP at The Willows t'other week. You could upgrade from the terrace to the seats for five quid. Not seen that since old CP.

to true, used to go to the greyhounds there as well,seen sum classic matches there, i have come out of the old craven park singing and sooooooooooo happy, other times crying and looking for the nearest bus to jump in front of lol, but you gotta take the rough with the smooth, heres hoping for a cracking match this weekend,

I used to know a lass who trained and raced greyhounds, she used to reckon some of the other trainers stuck ginger up the greyhound's Iestyn to make them run faster. Not sure that was true mind you.

I dealt with a land surveyor for a company that aquired land for major supermarkets around the time after we moved in and he said that the land old CP stood on was worth far more than the package we got for such a development, apparently the valuation was either done by a monkey or someone did well out of it. At the time the total valuation for the land, debts and new build was around 4.5 million when it should have been nearer to 8 million, which would have given us a good ground, debts off and a substantial investment on the park.

Why would we want it all seater, we don't want a stadium that lacks atmosphere like the KC does, it's like a library at your place, granted it's a smart stadium as are all the new stadiums but i like traditional grounds with atmosphere

Agree, but when the East stand are on form i doubt their is another set of fans in SL that can match that atmosphere

Well we need to get behind the team on Sunday and make the east stand rock if we don't win that's effectively our season over barring the challenge cup

Why do some people make an issue of sharing with a football team? Its not as if we are playing at the same time.
As for the good old Boulie,like Boothferry Park,great memories for some,but have to move on to a better enviroment.
