What makes this statement pathetic is that he's had a personal apology, there's been a public apology and the RFL have issued a statement saying it was wrong, yet he still releases this crap! Even your own fans have started to move on yet he still seeks further explanation? It just shows him as bitter, no doubt lines like 'our fans deserve' and 'I have to explain to our fans' blah blah blah means you'll all be lapping it up, just like you hang off every word he says.

Quite right MR. I am aware you can't be seen to say it but it's a complete lack of respect being shown. The RFL took the unprecedented move to issue full private and public apologies. There's little else that can be done. The 'some ex-FC player' comment says it all.

Ganson is a premadonna that loves to be bigger than the game. All clubs have sufferred unexplainable decisions from this 'character'. He brings the whole game into disripute when it happens and makes the whole sport seem amateurish and fixed which is the worst advert possible for our great game.

Forget reorganising the league sort out the basics of having competant referees.

All I want now is the RFL to clarify how it won't happen again.
Root Cause Corrective Action is what it's called in my job if a mistake is made.
Identify what went wrong.
Then state what preventative measures have been put in place to prevent reoccurance.
That has not happened so far but maybe it's too soon and might happen during the next week or two

That quote there completely ruined the entire statement and showed his true colours. Completely uncalled for and completely unnecessary. It's comments like that that create unneeded ill-feeling between the clubs. I'm glad some of the more level-headed Rovers fans can see that. I just don't see what he hopes to achieve from making that comment.

The simple answer is to (again) follow the Australian format and have 2 officials in the box. That way they can question each other for contentious tries, especially like yesterdays and todays (Salford offside) games.

On another point we were quick to tell the Hull fans to 'move on' last year and we should do the same now. What should happen now is that our marketing team should make the most of this and really get them packed in for the 'decider' at our place. It's 1 each, lets settle the issue in the most appropriate manner, on the field.

May I also say, how garbage were FC yesterday after what was a great team performance at Warrington last week. That is why they won't win anything this season.

Every team has an off-game. Even champion teams (Leeds lost 50-8 at home and still went on to win the league!).

I don't expect us to win anything this season, don't get me wrong. But to use one performance as an indicator is a bit daft.

Wellsy13, you are correct you are a top 8 team, you just aren't a top 4 team like most of your fans have been saying this year.

I like coaches being confident but sometimes talking it up sets you up for ridicule.

And before you jump on this I actually have always wanted both Hull teams to be better than the rest, i'd rather have a Hull KR v Hull FC final for everything. Although I would want Rovers to beat you all the time also.

I agree you can't be great every week but the fact is that your staff were talking up last weeks result as being a pivotal moment in your season and about the great team spirit etc.

Whilst I am sure there is great team spirit, why not simply quietly go about your business each week and sneak up on the so called 'big 4'.

We're aiming for the top four. It's a target. That target needs reinforcing and the players need to know what's expected of them. It was pivotal in that we can beat a top side at their place when we're behind. It gave many of our players that belief we can do it. We have often started games well and stopped playing in the last 10-20 minutes. Recently we've scored 5 tries in two games in last 10 minutes.

I'm pretty sure most Hull fans on here (a tiny minority of the fan base, of course) were saying 5th or 6th for us which looks possible as things stand.

I must say the team we put out yesterday (on paper) had no right to be that close to the team FC fielded, it just goes to show that maybe Sandercock has got something and people should have faith in him.

On the other 'top 4' issue, well I speak to a lot of FC fans and to a man they say that, on paper, their teams is good enough to be top 4. Shame the game isn't played on paper though. Again, this is a small sample size thats lacks any scientific credibility.

So basically a small group of people you speak to that we don't know say we're a top four side, and that equates to "most FC fans"? Can you see why you're being picked up on this throw away statement?
