That strikes me as very unlikely. Wigan won't be paying huge money for Green, so even if we get a subsidy from Penrith, Burns would have to be on pretty meagre deal.

That said, financially it looks like a win.

With two years left on his contract it would have to be a good offer for Rovers to want to cut short the deal of a very important player for us.

Depends on how much Rovers want him and how much he wants away. If he's really keen for a move then Rovers are faced with the option of making a deal for whatever fee they can agree or paying a player who doesn't want to be at the club for two years.

Rumours again!!! i mean for the last 2 weeks dobbo has been going to leeds and hull wasnt he?? So until it happens then its well left alone but were all guilty of listening to rumours. Burns coming available has likely made it a bit more palatable, especially if it means that we effectively free up more money to strengthen elsewhere. And good though he's been, [ianother[/i injury blighted season and we'd want shot most likely and struggle to do it.
While I'm not a fan of the competitive imbalance of SL, it is real and it'd be a bit harsh to stand in Blake's way for what is a great opportunity for him.
If we get £60-80k we'll have done very well - I can't see that covering Burns' deal for 2 years. As Penrith are paying him off, it might do for 1 season. All guesswork, like.

The club appear to be offloading a number of 'big earners' whether they're surplus or worth keeping. If nothing else it should give plenty of cap to play with.

According to 'Ponty' Pete, Blake to Wigan is a done deal, although his 'source' is Easty!

I reckon it is a done deal app Blake has told some one he's already signed for Wigan and that was thru twitter I really like Blake but he has been really quiet since he come back from injury I wonder now if dobbo will follow him and leave.

I dont Green would have to sign for Wigan before we signed Burns. I think its more to do with how many overseas you have registered to play each season. (similar to Willie Mason)

Just cos Dobbo and green played together with Oz schoolboys 10 years ago does not mean they get on overly well, Dobbo going i cant see it!

Annoyed if Green goes. First season, Dobbo was injured for half of it so didn't see Dobbo and Green in action till the second half of the season, and Blake was awesome (a dummy sending four Leeds players going in the wrong direction), this season, it has been the reverse, with Blake being injured. Therefore I was hoping for our two fully fit halfbacks to finally get a full season together next year.

Truly succesful teams, don't have a single member of the team who is the main threat, they have 3, 4 or 5 members of the team that are the main threat. Leeds, Wigan, Saints and to a lesser extent Warrington (who still rely a bit too much on Briers) all have strike players across the park who can distribute the ball.

We don't, that's why we play one man rugby for half the set, and then a couple of passes for the rest. Getting rid of a major playmaker is the last thing we should be doing right now. We need more play makers (or at least people who can offload the ball in a tackle) not less, regardless of us signing yet another unknown quantity in Burns.

If all the above speculation turns out to be true then it could be a huge gamble imo and one that could backfire on the club in a big way if things dont turn out the way the are supposed to.
I've already spoken to a number of friends who are Kr fans and are very concerned at the moment, the club need to reasure these fans pronto, before season passes go on sale.
