at the start Clarky said that HKR would trounce Cas - "it should be too esay for Hull KR...." or words to that effect IIRC - at half time he changed his tune somewhat and started to side more with Cas IMO

as a neutral I thought the commentary from Dame Eddie & co was its usual mediocre at best but not biased for either side - I think Eddie & Stevo,like Clarky were surprised at just how competitive Cas were on the day.

The supposed high shot from Fozzard on Taylor bordered on the ridiculous and he failed to stop the clock late on when using the VR to check who's feed it was at a scrum. Think Rovers should be putting Silverwood high on their Christmas card list.

Think Phil was struggling for a way to bring Wigan into the equation.

Was just as well those 2 points didn't decide the play-off outcome - poor decision.

As an aside,why do we need Stevo,Eddie,Carney and Mr Wigan all together? The only one missing was Bomber.

You only have to look at the players reaction to know it was a penalty, ran the risk all game by tackling high now if he'd have taken the legs he'd have been ok.

If a TV commentary team could win a match for you Cas would have walked it - they were willing Cas on at every opportunity & I think it has probably influenced some of the posters on here who didn't actually go to the game.

At one point Steve Snitch made a 100% blatant obvious knock on which Silverwood gave after asking the video ref to look. Still though Eddie & Stevo were going on about Danny Orr not having knocked on - it wasn't even him that was in question. 'Well I think Cas have had an injustice there etc...'. No actually it's just those 2 clowns although I think I heard Carney in the background saying , no Eddie it was Snitch who knocked on.

Let's be honest Eddie has been congratulating Cas on making the play offs for weeks he seems to have had a problem admitting they haven't.

The Fozzard high shot on Taylor well definitely chest/shoulder first but then onto the face. I don't actually think Scott Taylor would have complained if there hadn't been any contact with the face some may think he would I don't. Might not have been given but overall a pretty thuggish display from Fozzard so he can't complain.

The video ref decisions were right it's hard to tell at the match even on the big screen but watching again today no complaints.

Even so we scored 5 tries to 4 and had 3 disallowed and another 2 held up over the line. Cas didn't have any near misses or efforts ruled out themselves so maybe they were not quite as unlucky as the TV guys thought. Three of their tries came after being piggybacked up the field with penalties but I'm not complaining and neither were Cas about those particular Silverwood decisions.

Putting all that aside Cas did put in a very good effort they do deserve praise and they were a credit to their 300 or so fans who made it to the game. For me being among a small group when you are not expected to win makes you a better fan than being among 4,000 Warrington fans expecting an easy win and a trophy.

A patchy performance from Rovers a big dip on the previous 2 games and reminded us why we were not able to clinch a play off spot much earlier. Anything else now will be a bonus but we'll have to perform better than in this game.

At the end of the day the city of Hull shafted Cas.

After he gave the penalty Richard Silverwood quite audibly said on the mic MULTIPLE times "on his shoulder" and the replays showed he never got higher than the shoulder so HOW was it a penalty?

It was a penalty because the ref gave it. You now have 5 months to come to terms with it sunshine.

Dont worry when Welham went over 1st contact was on the head and we didnt get a penalty for it so its equalled it out. See you in the playoffs
