Sammut at 9, would be good cover for the halves to avoid the catastrophe of this year. He played full back for a year in oz as well, so could even spell Sheriff.

If we signed Sammut, I'd happily sport a big dirty 'tache.

Wonder how this will affect the rest of the season, Crusaders were often underdogs anyway but their remaining opponents; Wakefield, Harlequins, Hull FC, Bradford and Wigan can now probably just 'turn up' for the points. With this in mind wouldn't the licensing be better done at the end of the season?

Halifax arent happy, they reckon there bid was better then Wakeys, if this is true then i do feel for them.

I'd agree but what was halifax doing in the list in the first place, the RFL said all along only one team would be promoted from the national leagues, yet when they announced it was widnes they then put halifax in the group as some sort of consolation prize but richard lewis was telling everybody it was unlikely halifax would get in. was it a contingency if both wakey and the welsh went bang as both were staring down the barrel earlier in the season? it's a true farce in typical RFL style.

I didn't think they did, it was always 14 teams to be chosen and anybody who met the criterea had a chance.
