| Quote ="Come 'ere 7"If we already have a depleted side, I can't understand why Justin doesn’t help himself with his squad selection.
I honestly think with starting Fish (possibly playing 80 which he can do) playing Galea in the second row with Murrell at loose, the game would have turned out a whole lot differently! Not saying we'd have won, but our rigidity would have been there from the off, which is where we had to play catch-up from to be honest.
Also, special mention to Wheeldon tonight, I thought he embarrassed our senior players with his professionalism tonight. Well played Scott'"
After 4 years in charge there has been the odd game where I think he would have done things differently, thankfully for us these games are very rare and he learns from his mistakes.

EXACTLY!
And Zod, don't get me wrong, I have a lot of time and respect for Justin. But when he gets it wrong, he should still be pulled up for it, regardless of how long he's been in charge, the same as players do.

Agree mate - that's what these forums are for. It's just personally I think he, himself knows when things haven't worked out.

Fitzhenry played last year at full back against Cas, proven not a full back. Along with Leroy Joe and Goulding he must rate as one of the worst overseas signings I HAVE SEEN!
Get a grip Morgan , are you the Phil Brown (Tinker Man) of East Hull ?
Fisher has gone backwards but needs to start from the off!
Macca needs more game time simple as.
Fitzhenry is a winger and poor one at that , keep him there or pay him off!
Walker is not a centre , thats why Leeds put him in second row !
There needs to be a major clear out next year!

| to be fair i thought you was hard done to early game and it snowballed from there,
too many penalties went against you and the penalties you recieved were nothing penalties that didn't gain you any ground,
all that early posession against you lose you the game.

| i know this is rover fans only but i thought you was unlucky tonight through injuries decisions going the wrong way. also too many position changes as someone mentioned earlier on. good look for the rest of the season think u got a quality coach and quality young players nd a great fan base. i can guaarentee u wont finish less than 4th, for a team that only got promoted 2/3 years ago to be 2nd in the super league , above the champions leeds is a great achievement. also i respect the way fozzard gave his commitment to the game hope that his injury that he piccked up is not serious.

| I thought Quins performance last night was like the one we put in at the Stoop, well drilled, full of enthusiasm and playing for each other as a collective.
We look very tired at the minute, players missing and people playing out of position, for me last night wasn’t a surprise. However we’ll bounce back, keep the faith.

Been saying for a while, we need a couple of players who can offload the ball and keep it alive, teams usually have at least one, we don't have any and as a result our players are not used to that style of play, which results in the debacle like last night when a ball get slipped out of a tackle and the Rovers player (Newton) is caught by complete suprise and fumbles it.
Quins were good value for their win, they play good supportive rugby and keep the ball alive. One player we should have kept is Tangles, he had the ability to get the ball out in the tackle on a regular basis or we could have nipped in for Danny Sculthorpe who does the same. Its all well and good signing top props like Vella and Fozzy, but we need some variation and we are not getting it and are becoming predictble.
I have said I will be happy with 6th and I think thats about all we can hope for as I can see several defeats coming up with our squad not been good enough from 1 to 25, we have a very good 1 to 17, but are bolloxed after that when we have players out. When the announce said what the team was I immediately knew we had lost it.

All a bit harsh for me
Mills played well last week, dropped this week, but I'll give u not really good enough.
Fitz is never a full back and haynes should have played there from the off. Playing haynesvon the wing was an awful decision, I remember brisc playing wing once and looking that bad. Fitz is ok atcwing and average at hooker.
Netherton is a good back up 2 be rower, playscwell there but is not and never will be a prop. Good squad player.
Lovegrove was a stand out player before his injury.
Walker I Agee isn't cutting it.
As for a clear out I think not 3 out 3 in will do.

| I have to agree with some of the comments on here, I have watched Rovers first team and Reserves a few times this year, Morgan made too many changes, I think he should have gone with this team.
Haynes
Fitzhenry
Walker
Webster
Welham
Cooke
Dobson
Fozzard
Fisher
Wheeldon
Newton
Galea
Murrell
Aizue
Gene
Netherton
Spaven
Fisher is a must to try and combat Quins made threat from Randall, Haynes is not a winger and fitz is not a FB and that showed last night.

| Quote ="barham red"After seeing the drivel posted on numerous threads with not a comment from a red I thought I'd start this one.
The big problem tonight, and I said before a ball was kicked was far too many players out of position. Fitz at fb when he,a a winger. Haynes on the wing when he's a fb. Galea at loose, murrell at hooker, I'anson on the wing, etc. Morgs got it wrong, simple as, needs to have a rethink cos on that performance we'd lose to Celtic.'"
I know you said rovers only, but I will reply anyway.
I said right at the start that playing people out of position would cost you. I know it was Haynes' debut but why play a winger at full back and stick a full back on the wing? That cost you at least two tries imo and then there was the one where Haynes over ran the ball when he would have had a walk in. I'anson too is never a winger and I don't think much to Chev in the back row either. You would have been better with Whelam on the wing, Chev as his centre and start with Murrel at loose and galea second row. I know you had injuries and international call ups but they could have been dealt with alot better imo.

Nothing wrong with the squad depth.
It was the senior players that were the let down last night.

Tend to agree, but still can't knock the effort. Galea and Newton would have given anything for a line break along with others, but more importantly I think Justin let us down last night.
Also, I think a lot of us are discounting we played a good side in Harlequins last night. Nothing flashy, but built up good sets and showed us how to win the game without forcing the issue.

| I think we got a number of thin gs wrong last night.
First of all I don't think we can play effectively with Galea and Newton playing next to each other.
We had no second row on the left so Jake was having to do too much defence and it also left Haynes fairly exposed.
There is sense in not throwing Haynes in at the deep end by not putting him in at full back but it is his natural position so a decision i disagreed with.
We are pretty light in the front row at the moment and this only gets worse with Fozzard having to play so many minutes. Wheeldon really threw his hat into the ring last night and looked like he could do a real job in the next few games.
As soon as we get Rhys and Vella back as well as a dewcent back line I think we will be back to our best.
We won't finish outside the top 4 imo which, as far as I'm concered, is only a real achievement if we back it up in the play-offs.
