| The new part of the East Stand was a third empty, adding the other side won't stop the middle cramming in, everyone huddles for a better view.

| Yeah, maybe less of a problem when it gets warmer but still think it needs sorted asap. I think closing off the South end of the East Stand would help to generate more atmosphere too like at Wigan were there's concrete walls either side of the stand.

| Bringing more away fans will sort the atmosphere out. The loudest the East stad or today was when Widnes chanted early on, died down after that, too cold really.

| What's happening with the South Stand? I heard a while ago that the golf stand was going to be moved there once the build commenced, is that still the plan?

People must just like you Zod, because noway on middle earth was the east stand close to been crammed. Im dead on half way on top row and it was pretty full around us (it always is) but nowere near as bad as normal. Strange how it was nearly the same amount of fans as the saints game.

It certainly doesn't make sense
Well done to the Widnes fans who braved the elements

| The gates for the 1st 2 home games puzzled me. I expected well over 8,000 to be announced at the Saints game and it was 7.6K. Based on that, I fully expected yesterday to be less than 7k - Widnes brought about 250 to Saints 650 and their was definitely less around us in the East Stand. The Well was sply populated.
Over the 2 games probably about right, but no way was there only 200 less people there yesterday compared to 2 weeks ago.

| On attendances, my concern is we are averaging a thousand less per game at the moment.
I know the capacity has been reduced to 8,000 pro tem, but even so you would expect the East Stand to be sold out which hasn't been the case?

On the basis the club didn't announce record sales I would say they are down on last season.

| Has the capacity been reduced to 8,000 though? Last season's capacity was 10,250 (we got this for the derby). All that's gone since then is 50% of the Golf Stand (625 seats).
So capacity is now 9,625. Without the South Stand I suppose we are back at the 8,000.

I emailled our CEO the other week and he confirmed the current capacity as 8,000. Whether the 'overspill' will be used, who knows?

How many emails do you send per week, on average, and how many are directed towards the HKR CEO?

As a bit of insight, I joined the Steering Group in order to keep fans informed, however, due to work committments - travelling to London, Warwick and Leeds regularly - I found it difficult to attend and give 100% to the cause.
The next best thing then has been to raise questions and concerns (always to Mike Smith) because so much is happening at Rovers at the moment, and due to the fact the club are 'economical' in keeping the fans informed. Mike is more than happy to answer my Qs and concerns, like I am sure he does with other requests.

I doubt it, Gingerspice, but who knows, fans are fickle even at the best of times.
Personally, the drop in gates is more likely a product of the 'double-dip' that Hull and surrounding area has been suffering. Our region has been hit so hard over the past 6 months with redundancies and job losses, its even reflected in FCs gates.
I also think the pricing of tickets for walk-in fans is a factor - they have risen by about a fiver, which for many is enough to say they will pick and choose their matches more carefully.
Thankfully, we have a solid hardcore of around 7,000 supporters.

Anyone any ideas what our season ticket tally is? Always remember 5.5k been thrown around in previous seasons, so is the working theory now around 5k? Hopefully job security across Hull/East Riding will have picked up, if/when the North & East Stands are finished. Til then I guess we're looking @ 8k until the golf stand is desmantled. If the current golf stand is dismantled for the building work soon - not including the south terrace we're looking circa 7.5k capacity, in keeping with our current ave thus far. Least CP should be rammed most weeks.

| How can =#FF0000Edit-AS be a swear word when it's my name and therefore a proper noun?
=#FF0000Are you having to change the way you type it or deliberatly add another word to it to get it past the swear filter?, If the answer is yes then there is your explanation.
Plenty of folks have bitched about what I edit so to make it rather simple if the swear filter won't pass it then it goes-AS

Not quite, last official count was in 2009, Rovers official commercial brochure said there were 6900 season ticket holders.
Slightly higher than the lovely Phillip quoting 6500:

| People bitched about not being able to type words which the swear filter didn't filter, so AS now allows any thing that doesn't have to be typed differently.
