Will be a really tight season I reckon.'"
So do i.
Teams have patches of form at different times.
If Rovers win 2 of the 1st 3 games then it sets them up for a strong challenge.
Derbies will probably go 1 win each this time round.
Catalans are under pressure to repeat last year and with a different coach.
Lowes i dont believe will get the best out of Wire.
McNamara will be under immense pressure if Bulls get off to a bad start.
Wiagn could be anything.
Hull need to prove it was injuries and not a lack of quality last season.
Quins, Wakey and Cas will turn teams over.

Over the season they are much better and will get more points, head to heads dont matter in a league, its about how many points you get and these teams will all get more.

Just about spot on with everything you say there, I just cant see my team doing any worse than last season with the added depth we have brought into the squad.

Agree with all that. Can't get my head around the open chequebook approach of Warrington towards their playing squad but going for Lowes as coach.

Outstanding, love the subtle way you placed Rovers 9th, but think only the teams third to eighth will be in a positional lottery, as you point out all six have weaknesses but you apparently think all are to strong for Rovers, did you not watch any rugby last season, with the inclusion of Salford and Celtic you think Rovers will drop 2 places let me remind you YOU FINISHED 1 PLACE OFF BOTTOM

| On paper, we've strengthened the areas where we lacked depth (mainly front row), so we should improve. However predictions mean very little - no need to lose sleep over a rival fan who doesn't rate our chances.
I think one or two people on here have mentioned that injuries also play a part, no matter how good you apparently are.

He vary rarely drops the ball. It's just he's had about 4 games where he has been terrible and people judge him on those games. That and the fact he sometimes doesn pick the ball up off the ground as quick as he should.
I wouldn't say hes great under the high ball, but I would say hes alright-good

Vella is the only player who would come close to get into a Bradford pack of:
Lynch
Newton
Burgess
Morrison
Solomona
Menzies
The others wouldn't even come close. Halley, Sheriffe or Tupou would get ahead of Colbon (despite Tupou been fairly poor at Bradford) on the wing, Nero or Sykes would partner Webster in the centres and I would have Deacon in a halfback with Dobson.
That for me, would only leave 4, possibly 5, players in a team of 13 that Rovers have better players in. So yes, I would say much better and wouldn't laugh if someone argued far better

Maybe so, I'm not disputing he's an excellent runner of the ball, I'm just not convinced (from what I've seen) regards the rest of his game.

As you say, running of the ball he is excellent at. Catching the ball I have already covered. He isn't the best at picking the ball off the ground either. His positioning imo is very good, he has a very good rugby brain, brave, very good tackler. He is a 100% effort player, I have never seen him give anything less which is the type of player we serious lacked last season.
I don't rate his passing skills too highly though, and feel that he is used wrongly as a ball handler, but thats usually due to the fact we don't have one at 13 which is something I disagree with

In the past, I havent really rated their pack and even as of now I dont rate it too highly. I rate Morley, Carvell and Westwood, but not really the others. Clarke isn't too bad, but Higham, the Andersons, Rauhihi etc are overrated imo. They would need to strenghen that still to get anywhere near the top

I don't think Dobson is garbage but I don't think he is all that good either. I'm glad we didn't sign him, the only problem been we havent signed anyone else good enough to be our 7

Yes it is. For Catalans I thought he did ok. I think he was really overrated at Wigan. He did well, dont get me wrong, but he was given way too much credit for their revival. For Rovers, from what I've seen, I don't think he has done much. I don't think Rovers changed too much when he was brought in. Again, I'm not saying hes done crap (although he has had a couple of stinkers) I just think he is far from the top 7s in this league like Burrow and Long

I actually thought he was excellent for both Catalan and Wigan and he got heeps of praise for both efforts at each club. Coming into a side half way through the season is a difficult job and all credit to him he showed some real glimpses of class at times, along with one shocker of a game against Saints.
Again for me his form in SL has been very good and I'm not saying he is as good as Burrows or as influential as Long. I think he is going to chip in with a good number of try's and by the looks of his last season goal kcking percentage, plenty of goals.

Fielden is under the ball and goes to catch he is not going to jump in and catch it for him, he is a pro rugby player, prop or back he should catch that every time, that was a Fielden shocker. Idiot. We have no idea who called for it as we were not on the pitch, so your conclusion from that is poor.
I am very optimistic so posts on our board are always about the positives, and I always give my opinion, my opinion is I would rather have Richards than Donald as he offers more to the team. People like you just clearly dont understand opinions. I respect yours.
Hull KR will have a good season, but the hopes of the fans are to high, Hull KR are a mid table team and will be lucky to finish above 6th. I would rather see Hull KR up there than the likes of Bradford though.

Dont think many of our fans have predicted breaking into the higher ranks of the league yet. 6th is a real and fair shout for us to finish after last seasons 7th place finish.
