As a side note, Neil Hudgell mentioned us trying to make an impression over the 'next three years', in his post match interview on HKRTV. It's as good a timeframe as any other but it struck me as quite specific. Could be a throwaway comment on an emotional day or the remaining three years of the five year plan (remember that?), for example. But I do wonder a little whether he knows something we don't about licensing coming back.

Cas and Wakey have shown good coaching and team spirit can go a long way.Not that I think Chester was good for us but he turned adversity into opportunity like many of those teams players. Totally agree on the finishing bottom. Huddersfield shoulda gone down last season and it would only be justice that Widnes go this season for finishing bottom over the course of 23 regular season games.

Agree about the magic weekend (like to see it as a full round of cup 1/4 finals or last 16) if the coaches wanted the preseason then ok but use it as a fundraiser for the local game & celebrate all things Rugby in the area like double header with council cup final or something on those lines.

pleasantly surprised we avoided the mpg ,sheens seems to have brought some grit and determination to the squad,widnes looked very inept in attack and some championship teams have thrown more at us this year ,we need to recruit fairly heavily to be competitive week on week for next year, at least 5 quality players , but thankfully job done, and plenty of positivity has returned after last year, also superb backing from all the supporters a credit to the club

widnes put in the most inept attacking display I've seen in a long time and only have themselves to blame although I do feel some sympathy for them with the appalling injury problems they've had this year and would rather leigh went down than widnes

You've got to credit Rovers tactics for that. Rovers did to Widnes what the championship teams have done to us all season, bring them down to a level we want to play at.

Mose receives the ball beyond Addys (the dummy runners) outside shoulder. Addy doesnt change his line, therefore no obstruction and a try!
