Netherton I'm guessing was brought in to shore up the middle which looking back at the game worked pretty well. Netherton will never burst his way out a paper bag but what he does do is tackle and tackle well. Horses for courses. Sandercock came up with a game plan for the players he had available and if it wasn't for a few controversial decisions his game plan was spot on and we win the game.

One decision and at the the time it was a draw, with 3 minutes to go and hull dominating. Ok you would have had a penalty 10 meters from your line, but the way you was struggling I would doubt you would have got near the drop goal. Anything could have happened n those last few minutes.

Ignoring the awful, awful green try, both teams got some 50/50 decisions.

Hall can kick a ball into touch for 40-50 metres. At a bare minimum we'd be taking our 1st drive from halfway. I'm fairly confident we can drive to a point of taking a drop goal from halfway in a set of 6.

I felt Hudgell spoils the statement by going over the top and coming across as very bitter. He has some valid points which have become overshadowed by his blubbering.

You start to track a player and realise he isn't within meters of the guy touching the ball so you go and track another one until you find the one that is.

There are more questions now then before they released their statement. In fact I would say Ganson's position is more in doubt than before it as well.

I would say without a doubt the intensity in the derbies is the highest you will play in all year.
The fans play a huge part in that because they are so passionate on both sides of the city
The players really feed off the atmosphere the fans generate and I think this is why these games are played at such high intensity for the full 80 minutes.
It really does make a difference when the crowd are singing and going nuts at each other
