Things can turn and it doesn't always take much, but if it is going to happen it has to happen soon.'"
would you say that he has March to sort it out then? 5 games including the derby (and as we know all derby games are winnable by either team). think you should be looking at 6 points minimum from the month as after that you have april with leeds, wigan, hudds and saints all to play, albeit with 3 of those at home. if you lose all four of those then that could leave you on 4 or 6 points from 13 games - almost at the halfway stage. you are gonna need to beat london, cas, and either us or bradford for an acceptable March, anything less and he'll be under big pressure from the fans

Crikey. Sounds a bit like an axe being sharpened. Fixture list is still fairly kind until Easter Monday though.

Does he feel for us,i doubt it,the bloke is out of his depth and needs to go ASAP,before we end up finishing bottom which the way we are defending is a real possibilty.

| Some people on hear are blaming the players for the way we are playing, but did we not get rid of a load of players last year for the same thing, we kept getting beat after scoring lots of points in games it must be down to the coach and that says time to go,go now

| #Clowns Craig was brought in to bring thru over young players and build a team, give the guy a chance to field his strongest 17 and see what we play like then.
Im sure all the calls for his head NOW are really well thought out but its not going to happen to support the team/club and help build for the future.

I agree - NOW isn't the time. But if things don't improve, it is on the horizon. We've had a dispiritingly poor run of results covering the equivalent of nearly half a season. IMO we should be competing on a level with Bradford, Wakefield and Castleford - that would represent a par performance as we try to develop more of a homegrown core. In actual fact we're in the mix with Salford, London and Widnes for the spoon as things stand. The fact that so many defeats have been by narrow margins, at some point ceases to be mitigation and starts to look like profound psychological weakness. Not that losing heavily would be easier to bear.
I really want him to get it together and for us to start getting some results - for all the normal reasons, but also so this painful (though IMO necessary) transitional period has been worthwhile. A new coach means disruption and starting over again, so I want to give CS every chance. Give him to Easter and see how we look with a stand-off in the team, is what I'd do.

| Now really is the time. I have kept my powder dry on Mr Sandercock for several months now, but dry powder goes up with a big bang. Lets look at the facts:
2 wins in the last 14 games (both against a very poor Widnes side)
2 wins since June 2012!
In those 14 games we concede an average of 31 points. How you hope to win games with that defence is beyond me.
Fourteen games is over half a season and should not be forgotten. The sample size is large enough now to draw a lot of conclusions. The bloke is out of his depth and clearly doesn't know how to fix the problem. Listening to him, I'm not even sure he knows what the problem is! He goes on about discipline (which was shocking as usual), but when we concede a penalty you just know a try will follow, as we are completely unable to defend our try line.
Almost every occasion Salford got in our 20 they scored. Worse, we all knew it was going to happen, because we see it every week. The defensive structures are non-existent. We may have some bad defenders in the side, but a good coach would improve individual technique and give them a pattern that allows them to support each other, while at the same time, compensate any weaknesses. We have none of that.
Anyone thinking he needs more time is just deluding themselves, he simply isn't going to fix it, he doesn't have the tools. There isn't any point in delaying this any longer, if he were a horse, the gun would be out, as he's a suffering animal. Agree a pay off (carry on paying his salary until the contract expires if necessary), and get someone in who knows the game. The cost of this will be dwarfed by the loss in gate revenue if nothing is done.
Someone mentioned James Webster. Perhaps this is a romantic nod to the past, but I have heard worse ideas.

| I like the guy (spoke to him twice at length) but he must go yes we have some poor individual defenders but nothing has been done to improve this, I agree with stan above, defensive structure ? we dont have one or if we do i cant see it.
Im fed up with it tbh, im furious and i maybe spend 2k a year on rovers Hudgell and co must be at breaking point. I cannot see how he can go on, nothing at all has improved over this closed season so for that alone .... im out

| Interesting some people calling for JM to return?
I was always of the opinion that JM got the best out of what he had, even if he didnt have the best squad, that is a good MANAGER OF PEOPLE.
CS seems to have a poor squad and be a poor motivator (he does whine a lot) - the result is for all to see IMO.
Any team with Hall & G Horne in the side isnt that good, they were not good enough at FC yet Hall in particular is lauded amongst a lot of KR fans.
As an FC fan our problems at 7 continue to plague us, but it would seem to me KR are no better, if not worse than last year and 1 in 12 proves it. Losing Blake, Taylor & Watts and not replacing them in terms of quality is disaster.
You watch them do us in the derby though

Although there is a myth that the type of performance we saw last night didn't happen under Morgan it seems some people have extremely short memories. IIRC we capitulated numerous times, Wakefield did a worse comeback job on us a couple of years ago, 30 point turnaround in the last 15 mins that time as well. Under Morgan we got up for certain games, and I'll agree that he could at times motivate a team more that CS appears to be able to do but the last 18 months of his reign were shocking. We were dull, boring and defended equally as badly, the slope started then and CS has been unable to arrest the slide.
JM coming back would be a disaster and should not be considered, if CS goes then we need to have a plan that brings in a proven coach, we need foundations laying that gives us a platform to build on and get a plan to succeed.

| Morgan had us tight knit, but I think some of the discipline issues that Sandercock inherited had been brewing for a while. It'd be ridiculous to go back so soon. Hall has done pretty well under difficult circumstances, but there does seem to be a blindness to his flaws and limitations in certain quarters. But he isn't particularly the problem more than anybody else. Less than most in fact.
For Green, we got Burns and we'll have to see how he goes. Taylor was a loss. It was no surprise to see Watts re-invigorated by his move to Hull - the same had happened after a couple of his previous scrapes, but it never lasted long. Even 2010 he ended getting dropped. He's still young-ish and might mature, but I'll be curious to see how he looks on returning from his current lay-off. We've got talented, erratic, penalty machine forwards covered right now, ta!

| Christ, [url=http://viewtopic.php?f=59&t=524322&tsmp=1361785753it’s like going back in time.[/url Appears certain posters just can’t wait to jump on the coach. That being said, they’re completely right, in half of what they say. We haven’t improved and CS has to take full responsibility for this. It’s simply isn’t good enough to continually throw away leads like we do. Our overall inability to defend our line. Questionable attitude/motivational problems. A complete lack of a game plan or at least one which the players actually follow. Discipline, if we can’t rely on our defence to keep out our opponents, then it has to be hammered home, don’t give away stupid penalties. Yet we do. Question marks in these areas just haven’t gone away, and if anything we’ve gradually got worse. All this falls @ CS’ door I’m afraid. I don’t think we’ll sack him after 4 games but if we’re being honest the performances aren’t suggesting he’s up to it. ‘Heavy sigh’
That steaming pile of frep served up last night though was horrible. I’m not gonna’ blame CS for that though – the players get that honour. Arrogant workshy/overconfident/lack of respect for the opposition freps they were. We should’a/could’a hammered what was a dismal Salford side. However, that dismal Salford side came back to post 24 unanswered points and win the game. Pathetic really and says it all. We’re nowhere near as good as we think we are. Just embarrassing. Oh how I wish we still had the presence of a Mick Vella down the middle.
I believe the last debacle of such magnitude was Warrington home (2011) and was the tipping point for a change. You have to think this was CS’ match last night. I’d assume the board will be reluctant to part ways with immediate effect, so he may have a couple of games to sort it. Given he’s been incapable of doing this from day one, it’s going to become a case of when not if.
Dead man walking.
I hope as fans we can rally round and support the team, but I feel the damge is done. There's a division within the ranks, nobody wins.
