Great news for the club, heard a few people who don't go cos they don't want to stand at either end, the bigger the East Stand the better.

Will this extension make the Stand go all the way across the touchline, if i have got the right stand here.

As probably the S.L. club with most RFL and council handouts ever made i'll take the word of an expert.

They've got a nice big shared stadium and had a lot of funding/handouts, also they are getting a training facilty part-funded.....We have had numerous funding/hand-outs, our sole use stadium and are now getting a funded extension,

horses/courses...swings/roundabouts...ying/yang.....karma/chameleon...ant/dec...zig/zag...am I making myself clear here ?

how much do the 5 directors take out of hull?. do you not know or do know but do not want to say?

at the end of the day,neither club actually own their respective stadiums.both are on long leases,so all this talk of handouts works both ways.i do agree about the facilities for away supporters,very poor viewing,at a high cost to the supporter.i would love to see something done about it,plus,i'm sure it would lead to a better atmosphere for everyone.

You work it out - it can't be that much as we've made a profit for 5 years running and have half your level of debt.

Its the Stand where the bulk of the standing Home support is mate.
When extended and full it will be second only to your South Stand in terms of noise and atmosphere.

Oh dear Lord. Directors can't take any dividends when a company has negative distributable reserves. They may take a salary, but it's not disclosed in the accounts what that is as only the balance sheet is published. They may also take interest at 2% above base rate on their loans, but with interest rates so low, this is a maximum of £35,000 between the 5 of them. Any money they are paid through either loan interest or salaries is deducted before the net profit number.

i work with a few rovers fans who havnt or ever get into the greatest stand in superleague because of the size... now that its expanding wont the other fans in the other stands just go in the east stand instead of the north and west stand? there fore your crowd attendence pretty much staying the same, just fans moving stands.

Back to topic, despite the Generals optimism on crowd increases, I have been watching Rovers for over 35 years and we have never regularly got over 9000 average crowds never mind 10,000. I am concerned that despite a successful 2009 we averaged under 9,000 average crowds. I just don't think there are any more fans out there who will regularly attend. The extension is great news for existing fans but expecting that to balance the books is short sighted and folly. We need to budget within our means or suffer the consequences. If this means spending less on players salaries, so be it. Better to be a SL also rans long term than a short lived success going bust. '"
