apparently hes signed 2yr contract from next season onwards.... next year to get his defence upto speed, then to take over from Webster when he leaves.

Would be a terrific signing for you despite the mixed opinion.

But with him being contracted to us, Agar finally waxing lyrical about him and his undoubted talent, it would be a sizeable tranfer fee.

Pretty sure he signed a deal at Hull a few months back.

I think he signed a two year extension last year, so he's OOC at the end of next season.

wonder if its for next season then, as Webster will more then likely be going back home then and will be another tick for a Bristish player.

I personally would want to see a vast improvement on his defencive skills before we would take him on, but his stats speak for themselves when hes attacking.

Since coming back from Widnes his defence has been spot on. Not going anywhere for the forseeable future either, according to the player himself.



Im not even going to mention Rovers envy of our players, think these rumours every summer speaks for itself.

Its not really envy though is it Dave? Justin simply identifies people within your organisation that he feels would strengthen ours so brings them to Craven Park.
I dont think that anybody could disagree that we are stronger for having Briscoe, Cooke, Wheeldon, Mallinson, Dunn and Chester at the club.
It really isnt a case of envy or getting one over your club.

I think your comment sums up the thoughts of Hull fans. Yes you can strengthen your organisation by bringing people in but why then comment on the relative strength of Hull FC on the back of this? Surely it is of no concern?

Because that's what we're talking about, Hull and Rovers. Take the names "Hull KR" and "Hull FC" away and just look at the movement of personnel between two local clubs and their league positions and you could consider one being a feeder club to the other. It all seems to be one-way traffic (apart from Lee Crooks......)

I'm not concerned about Hull FC at all and I'm not bothered if taking more players and coaching staff from you gives you a "back handed compliment", as long as it's for the right reasons and they're of the same standard as the ones we've taken from you in recent years, I'm happy.

Given the state of your own clubs finances i'm sure the hefty 5k cheque you picked up for the Leeds nines could go towards paying RW unpaid bonus's and leave him able to sign a new contract.

It isnt a back handed compliment to Hull at all. What it is, is a huge compliment to the abilities and talents of the individuals involved, that we feel they are ready for the step up in level to Hull Kingston Rovers.

But every year we hear the rumours on this board about Hall, Yeaman, Raynor, Washy, Whiting etc who apparently are all rovers fans. Just makes your arguement back a little weak. Your clubs fans clearly are interested in our players enough to start these rumours every year, as well as the driver of trying to get one over on our club which seems to have motivated Hudgell for a few season.

When did you last see the FC board smothered with rumours of us stealing one of your players? Sums the situation of our clubs up nicely for me!!
