I never thought he was going to saints same as I never thought for 1 minute kimmorley or lockyer would be at rovers next season.

if he was 31/32 i'd understand a 2 year extension but as he's 23 i'd honestly expected him to sign a 4+ year deal.

When do you ever see that happen though? Most signings I see these days in SL are only 2 years (3 at max).

But according to quite a few "in the know" he wasn't going to sign at all, well not for Rovers anyway.

How many players are on 4+ year deals? The kid might one day want to play for his country so he would have to go back to oz because of their current policy, "if you don't play in oz you wont play for oz.."

Not many players at a young age are such key players for their club as dobson is. That's why I expected a longer contract.
