Because he doesn't offer as much in attack as Tony does although he is a good support player (briscoe). But returning the ball didn't do anything part from duck and get tackled. where as tony will look for a gap and is a better link up player!

When I stated that Briscoe was the Hull player I'd most like to see at Rovers I was slated for it. The guy is and has always been a class act, and one of the bravest players I've had the privilege of seeing play. I understand where Sharp was coming from in keeping Motu, but we have benefitted in a big way.

Im not taking away the fact that briscoe is a great player just feel as though he doesn't offer as much as Motu!

Two very good players vying for the same position, PS had to make a decision and did so. Its hard to choose between them but when they both play well they are top quality players.

Your saying he had to make a choice why did he? Do you have an abundance of fullbacks? Or did the salary cap deem he had to release one and as Tony can play Hooker also he choose Tony. I'd go with that account myself which doesn't make Tony a better fullback then briscoe.

Yes briscoe might of been better over the weekend but theres no denying that briscoe ducks in the tackles for too much. He never trys to step the oncoming defence or draw them in to pass to his winger, and these are the things that tony will do which is why he offers more in attack!

Briscoe was amazing today. Saved a sure fire 12 points if not more! He just popped up from nowhere to make 2 stunning tackles. Oh and his try was a class move. Also how safe is he under the bomb?

no one not even sharp knows motus best position, and i will go as far to say motu doesn,t even know his best position.

Its particularly ammusing that when Briscoe played for Hull he was apparently 2nd best to the future GB number 1 Cockayne. Now he plays for rovers Briscoe is a god among full backs.
