| We all know that franchises are coming. No way will the game's governing body allow london or UTC to be relegated so it's inevitable. It's also a given that there will be only 1 franchise available for Hull, with the likely recipient being the top 3 Superleague team, in the shiny new stadium, who are capable of bringing in 20,000+ for big games.
So, when it happens will that be the day you cease your love affair with the game or will you still go week in, week out, despite the fact you can never progress to the next level?

You never know? Your local council might decide that it's only fair that Rovers get a chance to play in what is a stadium that belongs to the taxpayers of Hull, and Rovers might even get subsidised to the extent that your team has been.
As for 20,000 + crowds i think your biggest was just over 19,000 and 10,000 of them travelled from Bradford.

| Hull KR have had more subsidies & hand outs than any other "professional" sports club in the city:
Cut price land deal for new ground.
Interest free loan from Wastewise (Council owned)
Ability to sell off land despite covenants
Thousands written off in unpaid business rates
Hull on the other hand pay their way in a new stadium which provides an income stream for the city.
As the KC Stadium is Council owned, I can't see why Rovers can't play there, as long as they pay rent (it can always be written off if you don't). You might even fill the upper West tier!.

| I don't think franchices will be allowed. They should have introduced them at the very start of SL but fudged the issue. Too late now.
Rovers have a golden opportunity to go up this season with the opposition not looking that much stronger than them, and I hope they do it. If they miss out this season, they wont get up next season with two relatively strong sides coming down. Wakefield / Salford / Leigh / London ?
Staying up? Well that's another story.

You obviously never went to that game. If you did you'd hear the announcer say (as he does every game) how many away fans went through North Stand turnstile. If I remember correctly, it was just short of 3,400.

Well, as all the seats are facing the pitch, I'd say 19,000 of them. How on earth can a Rovers fan who is used to seeing paltry crowds say anything about our crowds?
Face it, you will NEVER EVER see a crowd of even half that at your little dog-hole of a "stadium".

| Will Harvey Howard be even bothered now?
Rumour has it he only stayed because Neil "No Hudgell helped with his settlement.
The nearest you'll get to Super League is passing the KC stadium on a bus to Walton Street Car Boot.

I think Harvey comes across as a breath of fresh air at Craven Park. he comes across as a motivated man who knows what to do and how to do it, more importantly he knows Rovers limitations, realises that history will not get him promotion, and he looks strong enough to stand up to the hangers on and has beens that have been hindering the club.

| Hull FC paying there own way lol Why don't they pay that £2m and still counting debt.
Hull FC are in a bad way financially thats why the players had to wait till new year to get there xmas wages. Maybe they where waiting for all your 20 thousand fans to buy a derby ticket oh no sorry the usual 10 thousand where waiting for there free tickets.

2800 out of a crowd of 19500. Just short of 17k Hull fans will do me. No other team gets home support of that size. The 20k crowds at the leeds v bulls and wigan v saints games inclue many more away fans due to their close proximity

Shame that amount don't turn up at every home game, mind you with the steep rise in ticket prices you'll be lucky to get half that this year.

I think we might just manage it with 6000 season passes sold

Sofa supporters tend to only go to the big games as your average attendance seems to prove.
Why do you continue to pick on the Robins, i liked having HKR to play against they had a spirited(if not dirty at times team) Hull F.C. may well be a strong team in SL but they shouldn't forget where they were 10 years ago.
I only joined in this thread cos pathetic F.C. supporters think that F.C. deserve to be where they are, remember the full team of aussies just to get you into SL.
The tables may be turned one day.
