at last a glimpse of what burns was brought over for a stray pass or 2 but taking on the line at times was a pleasure to see oh and he wanted brough real bad so it seemed.

Burns is a class player and is improving every game. He and Dobbo are getting a good partnership going.

Harshly treated by some of our fans but hasn't had a really poor game since arriving, just not had the consistency or run of games to build up partnerships. Now he is getting that he has shown what he can do.

No surprise our right hand side was fruitful tonight and a slightly off night for Dobson which meant Lovegrove wasn't given the chances to impress as he has been able to the past few games.

Hope they can both perform in France and bring home the bacon.

Virtuoso single handedly turn defeat into win single handedly via perpetual motion all action defence & attack, sheer willpower supplemented by play of the season, seat of your pants, scream out loud match defining plays, turn a game on it's head single handedly.

Since our promotion back to the top flight we have been lucky with our 6's. Murrell, Cooke and Green have all served us well. However, Burns is without doubt a step up from the 3 of them. Despite playing injured for much of his time here his intensity has driven us on and tonight, looking injury free, he showed us his running game.
A long way to go yet but I reckon that if our pack can create a platform then Dobson and Burns can get us into that final 8th place.

that performance has been coming. I have no doubt Travis will only get better.
as a team, i don't think sandy will let them get too carried away, but I hope we can build on the last few weeks.

Was he below par or was it that with Burns playing well he did not have to be the game breaker as he normaly has to be, I only got to see the last five minutes of the game but it was worth the rush just for that. It will give teams a headache now as before they only had to try & shut down Dobson now they have Burns as well to worry about it also frees up space for the likes of Eden, Lovegrove & Josh Hodgson.

Don't think Dobbo had a "slightly off night" as such, think Huddersfield did their homework on him as we did brough. what it did do though was to give trav a bit more space to weave his magic...great game

Travis took the line on last night & we were a different team. First time he's really been able to do that since he knackered his shoulder at the KC.

Head and shoulders above anyone yesterday ......well maybe Ukuma ran him close

, but Burns ran the show yesterday and we had no answer to him.

Seems both teams did a job on the halves that each coach expected to run the show. Dobson was well marshalled and Ukuma seemed to enjoy running at Dobson whilst Brough was kept relatively quiet. On the back of this performance you can see why Rovers where happy to sell Green to Wigan. the fee from Wigan effectively covered Burns wages. Good business.

Next seasons captain?

Nope. Too much of a loose cannon. Great player and full of fighting spirit but not a captain (yet). Lovegrove for captain. Been a great servant for years, leads from the front (had some blistering games this year). Possibly a new Vella, although maybe not quite.

Definitely captain next year for me.
Most vocal of all our players and spends that much time with the ref anyway, he may as well be the man who officially talks to him.

Travis could be the player of the year.his defence and attacking skills take KR to a different level.his enthusiasm and terrier like style is fantastic to watch.On another subject,Welham decent player, but I cannot help notice our defence is better with out him.rush`s out the line too much, throw back from the defence patterns of Morgans era.

You have to be joking! We are missing Welham badly.

Were not really missing welham the results tell you that and as the other poster said he jumps out of the line to much

We are missing Welham if u speak to any player who plays with him they will tell you his communication in defence is superb and makes up for any isolated rash decision he makes. In results terms we may not seem to be missing him because in the centre's we are blessed with talent in Salter, Gleeson, Hall and even Horne is an able replacement

After seeing Burns on SL Show last night I am impressed with the way he came across as intelligent and articulate as well as being a soft sod with his kid. Perhaps he isn't just the nutter, thug others paint him as. He had great stuff to say about the club and Sandy and looks as though he plans a long stay. Get the right 7 for the next few seasons and we will progress with players who WANT to stay and play in our shirt (not aimed at Dobbo!!)
