Which of your squad would u keep next year and which are SL quality?

most we would want to stay will probably go, some will retire, so we will be starting very much from scratch .

ken sio , adam walker, shaun lunt, the rest shut the door on the way out

Blair, Greenwood, Minns, Thornley and Mantallato to add to your list

maybe at a push but would like see a no favours clearout its a good time to do it

Keep only Sio, Minns, Thornley, Mantellato, Walker, Lunt, Greenwood, Donaldson, Blair and Tilse (if he takes a pay cut)

some of the players we have got would be ideal for the championship including keiron Dixon dare I even say he would be a star but they must be paid according to the standard they are playing at and that's the big problem, the top 4 bit should be easy its the middle 8s joke that get you promoted a lot harder, but I think it was crazy this year with the teams that ended up in there apart from our goodselves of course

Sio, if you've a non-fed spot available for a winger and you want quality. Mantellato if you want value and a goal kicking option. Lunt and Walker. There's a few more who are good pros that wouldn't look at all out of place with 18 or 19 on their back in SL - too many in all honesty, which is why we fell short.

Do you think the club could be smart about this and do deals to keep on most of the younger "sL" level players who might otherwise want to move on but loan them out for the start of next season to a SL club. this would allow them to play at SL level whilst saving you some money on wages- you could then recall them before the deadline in time for the 8s. You would pay less in wages through the year but have players who have played in tougher games and be ready for SL opposition. When promoted you could then keep them on.

As I've posted, until we officially hear that we're staying full time pro (and Sheens is definately staying), don't assume anything.

All the comments pre relegation are as null and void as the player contracts now reality hits. I think Hudge and Rob will want us to stay pro, but if the other backers and sponsorships pull out, then we're screwed.

They also need to announce it next week. Most of the best players already have clubs next season. Even the crap players are likely to have found clubs in the next couple of weeks.

Think you're spot on there. Kieran Dixon will be a star in the championship and will score 30 tries in a season and would suit Full Back down there. Unfortunately he just is not good defensively enough for super league. I think if he played for Wigan/Hull/Warrington he may get away with it in SL but when playing for a lower team you get found out. Can't see any other SL team taking him off your hands really. Wouldn't surprise me if he ends up at Toronto or Bradford.

Minns could also double up as a turnstile

I believe you are mistaking Thomas Minns for somebody else, Minns is much less susceptible to the turnstile tendencies of his predecessor and I would be very sorry to see him leave

And if your IQ was one higher you could double as a pot plant.

You're thinking of Salter, if so, you're bang on correct. Thornley is a bit crap for SL as well, which is why they'll both stay and Minns will leave.

Dixon needs to stay, even if its just to get us back into SL.

Strangely enough, Kelly might be the only high paid star we keep because no one else will want him.

If I had it my way, Lunt and Blair to lead the team. Keep Greenwood, Minns, Mantelato. No point mentioning Sio, he would have gone anyway.

In reality, we'll probably have to rely on Marsh to steer us around the park and Tilse as a barnstorming line breaker. God help us.

The above are the players I would keep and spots in 25 man squad I would try to fill assuming Sio has gone Campesie retired the rest just not up to standard or either had it
We will be lucky to hold on to Lunt Blair more than any of them maybe Minns might go but with a bit of luck he will stay along with Matlelato

How many times do I have to give factual evidence that Tilse is the sort of mediocre crap that we have accepted this season that led us to relegation?

Yesterday he played well for the first 20 mins. When he came back on, he started falling off tackles and making his customary 5 metres. A bloke that big should regularly be breaking the line, not just taking the tackle.

BTW, losing Kelly, Campo and Sio should free up a lot of the Salary Cap. We just don't want to backfill with dross.

Marsh is OK but not a leader. It is imperative that we keep Lunt and Blair. I wonder if Chisholm would be interested? Just played at Bradford for a bit didn't he? Not absolutely the best, but did OK for us last year and way better than Marsh.

Chisholm is with the Bulls for next year too.

Danny Addy can fill in at half back, look how well that has worked in he Championship this year!

Chisholm has signed a 2 yr deal with Bradford and your slagging of Tilse is getting a bit embarrassing he had an excellent game on Saturday I agree he hasn't been as good as expected but he's had a better season than Green who is treated like some sort of God when in reality he can't break a tackle and can't make a tackle

I agree with you on Green. My opinion of him changed over the season. I started the season trying to defend Tilse and rationise his frailties. I'm past that now I'm afraid. Greenwood is now way better than both, and no doubt a damn sight cheaper than Tilse.
