Sad to hear of the death of my all time hero muhammad ali who in my humble opinion lived up to his billing of the greatest.As he said"I shook up the world" and he really did,not just a sporting hero a hero to millions all around the world for his contribution to life.
A sad day to all who loved and admired him,an inspiration to all. R.I.P champ.

He pretty certainly beat Liston the first time and it was Liston who had got himself embroiled with the mob.

He apoligised to Smokin' Joe and Frazier accepted his apology.

A great and humble man, the likes of which we'll never see again.

I won't argue about others opinions of him, I respect everyone's views that disagree.

The Liston fight was a shame because it should have been one of the greats but because of the mob it didn't go that way he was a great character and self publicist I just don't think he was the greatest boxer only my opinion of course

He was an icon of sport, & fought against racism we have to admire that, some fights was corrupt/political as they are to this day, other sports are corrupt RIP champ.

Liston got destroyed in their first fight. Even tried to blind Ali to slow him after that he threw it in because he knew it was only ending one way. Like Tyson biting Holyfield to avoid a second beating Liston chucked it again as he was getting another beating in the return. 'The job's threw lots of fights which you'd never know about until after. Ali destroyed Liston's mind then backed it up in the ring. Liston was a mess after 2 rounds.

Best boxer. Him, Ray Robinson, Jack Johnson. Unforgivable Blackness is a remarkable read of Johnson's life. Did it all 40 years before Ali.

Looked like a great boxer from footage I've seen . imo tyson when his head was on straight would have cleaned him out , but I know boxing has changed over the years so know one will ever know.

Fighters ruin there reputation by taking fights they never should Ali should have never fought Holmes Holmes should never have fought Tyson and Danny Williams didn't deserve to be in the same ring as Tyson never mind beating him IMO Tyson at his peak would have destroyed anybody
