Rovers are reporting that 10% of 2016 memberships sold so far are to first time buyers. On top of news that we have achieved record first week sales, this has got to be promising news. Let's hope it continues.

Makes you wonder about the Wembley factor. Taking away the result. I wonder how many new fans have decided on a pass for next year off the back of a huge event like the challenge cup final.

I imagine that the coffers will have been boosted too so our marketing budget may see an increase. We may be able to get the word out to more people.

The 80 mins of the final was bloody awful, we all know that. The weekend itself was a great experience, but the semi final was just amazing; everything just slotted into place, and that is the day that will probably sell the passes to all the 'non regulars' that made the trip.

That is one of the advantages of following an unfancied team; we take our pleasures where we find them.
Success can breed apathy - check out the number of "can't be bothered with the cup" posts from some fans of the likes of Saints, Leeds, Wigan etc.

I have signed up me and Mrs Picksy for next season. Why wouldn't I? For us, it's one of the most enjoyable drives in the UK over the Wolds, past one of the best chippies around at Wetwang, to see the finest RL team in SL at a ground with the loudest home supporters who regularly provide the most passionate of atmospheres.

That said, I hope we improve the cack matchday food and drink, upgrade the game clock, limit the Hull KR dance troupe routines which always look the same irrespective of music and make me laugh and cringe in equal measure, and shelve the need to belt out, A Little Respect, at every opportunity.

Damn. Bloody specs. Never read that option in the blurb before I renewed the memberships. How much extra and I assume I need to move to the more sedate surroundings of the West Stand in order to qualify? Would they serve Pimms and canapés or is that only available at Ronnie Pickering bare knuckle fights nowadays?
