| A week early I know but because I think we might look at putting out a bit of a weakened team out next Sunday (that would be what I did anyway), based on what you've seen recently what would you 17 for the final be? Obviously assuming nobody gets injured/banned next week I think I would go with this:
Dixon
Mantellato
Welham
Salter
Sio
Blair
Walker
Lunt
Allgood
Larroyer
Horne
McCarthy
Boudebza
Tilse
Puletua
Green
Really tough to decide who plays 1 and I assume that will be Chester's biggest decision. Also the issue of Kelly's fitness in which case it would have to just be a straight swap for Chisholm.

| 2 definitely not deserving of a place in the 17 at Wembley imo: Burke, Chisholm
4 players who I don't think will benefit the Wembley occasion: Cockayne, Greenwood, Cox, Ollett
8 players who should play next week at Widnes and prove they are worth a spot in the Wembley starting line up: Dixon, Salter, Walker, Green, Allgood, Tilse, Donaldson, Boudebza
10 players who should definitely be in the Wembley 17 if fit: Sio, Welham, Mantellato, Blair, Kelly, Puletua, Lunt, Larroyer, Horne, McCarthy
On that basis, one of the props will miss out. On form and fitness as things stand should be either Allgood or Tilse, but suspect it will be James Green.

Can't disagree with much (or any) of that mate. Based on yesterday, it would take a minor miracle for Allgood to be fit enough to be of any use at Wembley, whereas Green would be ready & I think would go very well off the bench. I agree that Chester will lean toward MA but I think it would be a mistake.
Puletua, Tilse & Walker are certain to make up the other slots. All this bluster about places up for grabs is bull. The only decision CC will make is between his mate Ben or Dixon and I pray he gets that one right.

| It has to be Dixon for me. Put some trust in him to keep the errors down and the kid could be a revelation on the large Wembley pitch.

| Pretty much agree with that, I'd hold off on Allgood until after Widnes and see how he trains next week, if he can get near match fit he makes my line up at the expense of an unfortunate Donaldson.

| Whoever plays at full back, Cockayne or Dixon could be facing a very long day as neither of them are accomplished under the high ball and I can't see Leeds being as dumb as wire were.

Can I just say, I always like your posts and you have a good name.
I think that when we get the chance to train on the pitch both of them need to spend all of it fielding bombs.
I've never been to the new Wembley, but the wind has got to swirl with stands like that, I'm praying for a still day.

I'm shocked that you don't think Chezzies #1 tactical change will involve us putting pressure on the opposition kickers on the final play. Mind you, given that we've barely achieved it in any game this season, I'm not surprised.
A bit of defensive line speed and intensity would be goo too, as well as focus around the ruck and ptb. Supporting a forward runner might be good and wrapping in the tackle to prevent Leeds offloading may benefit us also.
In fact I reckon Chezzies tactical changes for Wembley will be nearer the 50 mark from the gameplan we deployed against Fax on Sunday. Who needs structure, direction and game management anyway? On the evidence of our last 2 games, we appear not to. We could try a 4-4-3-2 formation with a pair of wingbacks and lobby for a change of ball shape.

Terrible.
He's got the basics right for a man of his age but his product is all wrong.
He seems to be going for a Hipster style without the beard, a number one on the sides and longer on top with no quiff.
What he needs is a stiffer Matt product because what he currently has is a shell shocked soldier fresh back from The Somme, and nobody wants that look.

Personally, i don't think he'd look to out of place in a l'oreal advert. He's certainly got the flicking capabilities with a do like that.

If Leeds are as dumb as you are they will have failed to notice that for a few games now Mantellato has had a brief to come across and cover all high kicks and has done so very successfully. Any kicks that go to Roves right hand side are dealt wth by Sio.
For several games now our full back be it Dixon or Cockayne have not had a kick to deal with never mind drop one. Leeds won't waste their time trying to expose Dixon or Cockayne just to have Mantellato or Sio set up a counter attack. They'll have done their homework better than you have.

Bit harsh, not given it alot of thought but if they really think that they must kick to Dixon its pretty simple really run the play before the kick wide and involve man tree in the tackle, im sure that Leeds coaching staff could come up with other ways given its their day job. Not done any homework at all, maybe Leeds coaching will be cleverer than our recent opponents and maybe Sinfield is a better tactical kicker than we have faced ?

His fair flicks around too much in the tackle...
It always makes it look like he has had his head jolted back and that he has been whiplashed, when it's only his greased locks that are jolted!

| To early to pick a Wembley seventeen. No doubt Chester has an idea as to his possible line up but two or three positions could be decided on Sunday. Be interesting team selection against Widnes.
