Timing is bad but for me, no big loss.

most of the KR fans where I work never seemed that impressed with him so I imagine no big loss for you guys and I doubt they will be too concerned, better to give a young prospect the chance to shine, massive overall to your squad this year this could be a challenging year or like Cas last season the real kick on you have needed how do you feel the quad is shaping up ?

even though i would like to wish the guy all the best in his retirement cos that is what he has decided.. whoever puts on the kr shirt we will support them, we will heckle them when they don't pull there weight we will laugh at them when they do some silly bloopers on the pitch but most of all we will support them. because at the end of the day we are hull kr a family club and were in it together through bad times and good ones.. whoever comes in this season will no doubt be under no illusions it will be a very difficult season. 18 players gone and being replaced.. will take time but i believe we will be in the top 8 and we will shock a few teams next season rally round the robins

Can't say I'm to bothered was pretty solid in defence but for a backrow forward to only get 40 minutes a game out of him wasn't really good enough, but our pack is looking paper thin now and it's pretty concerning and as we have found lately that the imports seem to be taking a bit of time to settle it's pretty worrying the amount of new imports we are going to have all at once next season

Proper pi$$ed off with this news, although I appear in a minority. Nev was a rock in our middle, and the best defender I've seen in Red & White.

Way too many changes in 1 off season, I fear the worst for 2015. 2008 was the last time we had so many new faces and we flattered to deceive that year.

not been an expert on your squad by any means but some good looking youngsters I would say just a couple of experienced pros in the forwards to help them along you may have an overseas quota spot to fill now and perhaps an English born forward with experience is Cavell still available did a job for Cas last year did not work at FC due to injuries but done everything in the game if not who is available ?

Will Weyman be next to go there is something wrong at the club what is a contract worth ? Apparently not the paper it is written on that's for sure Makes you wonder was the old system the best you signed on until the club wanted to get rid or you were put on the transfer list at your request but the club had to agree a fee with another club it's too easy it seems to rip up a contract

From what i am hearing Weyman is staying home as well. I thought Costigan was ok and a liitle bemused to see how much flack he is getting.With so many changes it will take a great coach to do well ,is Chester a great coach?

I thought costigan was excellent our best defender by a mile

Hopefully the loss of his good defence will be lessened by having other better defenders in the squad than previously,to cover, time will tell, end of the day if they don't want to be here we're better off without them!

That's six players who either were front rowers or could cover the prop position too many IMO with none coming in looks bleak to me What makes it worse there are none around half as good as the worst of the bunch Come on Chester and Smith now earn your money do something about it NOW

If Costigan goes to Brisbane it will confirm that Bennett is officially senile.
At Newcastle he got rid of a heap of young guys and filled the roster with guys on the wrong side of 30 who were once great.
So far at Brisbane he has got rid of 3 or 4 great young prospects to make way for old favourites, and he is mostly got rid of props.
Costigan has had a great career, but he must be ready to retire now.
If he pops up at Brisbane, Bennett's 1.4 million dollar paycheck looks like the worst investment in RL history.
