Injuries a concern but pretty impressed all round. Defence fairly solid, big work rate from George Griffin, Cory Paterson & Kris Welham combination looks dangerous, looks like Greg Eden's got a few David Bishop moments in him!

Did Patterson have an issue with his shoulder while in the nrl ?

FC started with there first choice, full strength side with the exception of perhaps Tickle but got humiliated.

It was only when Sandercock brought off virtually all of his experienced players (i.e. Welham, Hodgson, Dobson, Paea, Paterson & Mika) that FC got anywhere near a foot hold in the game (with the help of 3 penalties for incorrect play the balls).

After 15/20mins, Ben Galea was blowing out of his struggling to cope with the pace of the game whilst every time Paterson got his hands on the ball, he scared the living out of them.

Griffin, Walker and Eden really shone for us.

For FC, McDonnell did well for them looking dodgy under the high ball but I thought Prince, Chase, Miller, Ayshford, L Paea, Amor, Elima, Bateman & Whitehead were anonymous for them.

Still, because FC are a top-four team and are having a trip to Wembley, maybe it means we will win the Challenge Cup and finish top-two!!!

Shame to hear Gentle almost crying on the radio after his team full of "superstars" got embarrassed...

Thanks for the in depth analysis! But we know what happened last season regards friendly results so i will take this with a pinch of salt, although it is always good to get a win over FC roll on the new season!

As much as the second half of what zod says is mostly sarcasm of the cheapest sort he is bob on with the first part, FC got totally outplayed by the rovers first team in the first half.
