they won`t do jack at the rfl, wakey is not in one of the expansion ares so will be allowed to go to the wall like other clubs have, plus they want the franchise spot, and this will make the decision easier on them

agree with you, as always its the loyal fans saving up all week/year for a ticket that get hit the hardest by all this, whilst those guilty often leave with an enhanced bank balance to exhibit their incompetence in another area

Gateshead were an expansion team and both them and Sheffield were sacrificed for teams within the M62 corridor.

Another point of view is that Wakey have had 12 years in Super League and should have really got their act together by now.

It's a shame cos they have a bigger catchment area than Cas and could have been a decent competitive club had they taken advantage when the economy was in better shape and got a stadium sorted back then.

As for Wakefield I am truly gutted. I hope they are saved and do not have to drop out of SL to keep a crap team from London or Wales in.

Looking at their recruitment for 2011/12 I think they knew the writing was on the wall.

You have to feel for the supporters.Despite all the banter etc. that goes on,it must be a rotten feeling knowing your club is in trouble.

a lot of people will agree with him though, expanding S/L means we have allready lost traditional clubs like Halifax, Featherstone, Widness and Leigh to name a few, in favour of areas who dont seem to really take to the sport as was hoped for.

Are we all really judging Crusaders on this though, Quins yes i agree but sky wont let that happen; but Crusaders have only just started their life, over 400 schools in North Wales now play RL instead of kick chase, the locals in Wrexham seem happy the team is there - just needs advertising more; just like our whole game.

Put the likes of Fax, Feath and Leigh in SL and we will have less crowds (not just in the stands but people who watch it on tv and then pop along to a game and hopefully get hooked), less quality in SL as a whole and IMO would be a backwards step for RL in this country.

Fool! Lets bring in more non RL areas in and see how your home crowds go through the roof. You must be ashamed to be a Rovers supporter.

You seem to be fooled by the RFL. How do London Wales France enhance the Structer of RL. All they bring are a majority of Aussies players who can't get a club or larger pay packet back home. No traveling support no British youth. When the Rfl get their way again, and they will, SL will have Toulouse in their ranks -- even less away support.



Also To make a dream come true, you have to wake up. something the RFL seems incaple of doing.

Strange, the youth programs that the 3 clubs mentioned have put in place seem real steps forward.

How many overseas players do each club have?

I have no quarms about SL just can-not understand the mentality of haveing one or two of the same teams finish bottom and everyone thinking it's hunkydory.
