Odd that you lot are suddenly considering him a quality coach.

I've always said he is a very good coach as much as it has pained me to say it..

Would look very good on his cv tho and in troubled times like these u might be struggling to keep him

Do you think it matters what kind of coach he is? If he takes the job he will not have the tools and will end up like everyone before him and fail. He's better off staying where he is imo.

Completely agree.

Any club in Super League, many in the NRL and obviously National teams would jump at the chance of taking a brilliant coach like Justin. Fortunately our chairman had the foresight to sign him up so any wishful thinking by the Hull trolls is entirely that.

Perhaps he could have a crash course from Agar to brush up tyhat skill.

Actually, as I've said many a time, I wish he was in charge at FC.

Coaching contracts are about as worthless as the piece of paper they are written on. If Morgan wants to go and the RFL want him, he'll go and KR are unlikely to try and stop him.

Claire Balding mentioned this to Justin when he was guesting on the BBC a couple of weekends ago; he neither confirmed or denied his interest. If he got the offer, he'd be foolish turn it down and Rovers would not be able to stop it. I'd just hope that the RFL would compensate Rovers; if it did happen.

morgan has zero profile in the NRL. do you think he'd have stayed at rovers if he could have got a gig at the top level in the world?

I think he would be stupid to take it (on a FT role anyway), it could ruin his reputation if he doesnt suceed (like many others before him) and could harm his chances of getting a bigger job.

If HKR get compensation they'll probably pack his bags for him. He probably would be relieved to leave a sinking ship and all that.

He would jump at the chance..The dobbs get a bit of dosh, he gets a higher profile job to feed his ego and rovers get a cheaper coach Everyones happy.

If the RFL insist on making this job full time, then I suspect the quality of applicant will be down to the likes of Karl Harrison & Jon Sharp.

3 weeks of Tri-nations & the odd game vs France or Wales just isn't a full time job. Tim Sheens seems to manage ok doing his job part time.

The best coaches already have jobs & are unlikely to want to give them up. If you want to attract them it needs to be in a part time role. Insist on a full time coach & you'll be limited to those who are probably out of work for a reason.
