Would be a good move for him and the club, he's not likely to break into the first team at Hull due to Berrigan being there 4 years, and the likes of Houghton and Lee already established.

I've been advsied that Netherton won't be kept on and the funds taken up by him will be used to sign Hodgson and a lad from the Bradford academy (don't know the name).

He would of struggled at Hull due to playing one of the only "well covered" positions we have but i'm still a little confused as to his release.

Considering Hodgson is far younger than Netherton, i guess the coaching staff are looking at his potential more than anything.

We came really close to signing him ahead of Bradford however he took less money to stay locally.

He played against the side my dad coached in the Yorkshire League and he was probably the best player in the league barring Sam Burgess. That said obviously dont know how he has developed in the 3 years that have passed since then.

He plays mostly second row for us but he can do stints in the front row. He's not an explosive type player more of a steady grafting type. For some reason the last 18 months he hasn't kicked on like he should have done.

18 months ago yes i would have been sorry to see him leave but at the moment I'm not so sure.
